Add Sarah Palin to the list of those sticking up for an accused Navy SEAL from Blue Island and two of his fellow servicemen.
Palin, on her Facebook page Friday, posted a message saying charges should be dropped against Petty Officer 1st Class Julio Huertas of Blue Island and two of his fellow SEALS accused of mistreating an Iraqi terrorism suspect. » Click to enlarge image Add Sarah Palin to the list of those sticking up for an accused Navy SEAL from Blue Island and two of his fellow servicemen. First the Obama Administration opened up the possibility of prosecuting CIA interrogators doing their jobs seeking information from terrorists, Palin wrote. Then they tried to go after the Bush Administration lawyers who acted in good faith to protect us in the months after 9/11.
Now some of the military brass are court-martialing three brave Navy SEALs for allegedly throwing a single punch at Iraqi terrorist leader Ahmed Hashim Abed. This is wrong. The Washington Times got it right: Save the SEALs.
These brave warriors belong in combat, not in the courthouse. They captured the most wanted terrorist in Iraq. We may never know how many other heroic missions they undertook on behalf of our country. The charges should be dropped, and they should be returned to their unit with our gratitude for their service.
Stand up for the SEALs who are standing up for us!

Bravo Sarah!
Well stated.
(And dare I say...spoken like a true Commander in Chief?)

As my Grandma used to say “God Love Her”.
Yes, pissant is quite entertaining; if by “entertaining” you mean nauseating. Pissant & GOP_Lady should form a club—far, far away.
Bet you they are from DU...
When the time comes to choose who I’ll support in 2012, I think a good place to start would be the short list of people who came out to defend the SEALs.
Sarah is there.
Anyone else willing to step up?
I like DeMint too. I don’t think its either-or.
I like Sarah. I like DeMint. My list of favs for 2012 is pretty short. Its made up of the folks who were in the fight in 2009 and 2010. The ones who are sunning themselves waiting for 2011 I’m not interested in.
And I’ve just decided that the SEALs is a pretty good litmus test. The pols who sit silent on this issue I’m probably not going to care to hear from when they come knocking next primary season.

Dude? Secondly, few deserve to wash DeMint’s toes.
Palin gets more done on her facebook page than a whole peck of congress critters and news hounds can do in a month. She tells it like it is. Listen hard Liberals, you may well be hearing from her in a place of great importance. Do not dismiss her rashly. Remember they dismissed Reagan once and see what happened.
What a good woman ..... If I grovel any harder before her herm, a) I'm gonna have a flat face and b) I'm going to slip into the historical Southern error of hero-worship (think Marsh Robert, Bear Bryant, Stagger Lee).
Oh, don't be too hard on them. In the end, their dismissal of Reagan turned out to be quite useful. ;)
And watching Frank Reynolds's and Walter Cronkite's faces on Election Night 1980 was absolutely priceless entertainment! lolololol!
Oh, God, that was sweet!
Thank you Sarah-—when men in power lack you know what a woman sometimes has to be pick up the slack.
I was under the impression that it was common courtesy to ping anyone mentioned in a post. Kinda puts the ‘if you can’t say it to them, don’t say it’ thing in play. Maybe I’m wrong about that.
