“it is designed to get rid of choices.”

True to liberal communists.

The only “CHOICE” they’re interested in is the “choice” to kill an innocent baby.

Well, OK, also the choice to kill off inconvenient sick people, via “euthanasia”.

Those “old” people in the econ textbooks and history books, like our founding fathers are actually pretty cool and wise.

They were rebels and bad asses.

I hope the younger generation realizes that. They get their info from the web instead of the NY Times. I think they will.

Right. So no one should waste a lot of time parsing this bill. It will all be gutted and replaced with who knows what.

From page 1011: (SBHC= School based health clinic)
COMPREHENSIVE PRIMARY HEALTH SERVICES.

The term ‘comprehensive primary health services’ means the core services offered by SBHCs, which shall include the following:

PHYSICAL.—Comprehensive health assessments, diagnosis, and treatment of minor, acute, and chronic medical conditions and referrals to, and follow-up for, specialty care.

MENTAL HEALTH.—Mental health assessments, crisis intervention, counseling, treatment, and referral to a continuum of services including emergency psychiatric care, community support programs, inpatient care, and outpatient programs.

OPTIONAL SERVICES.—Additional services, which may include oral health, social, and age-appropriate health education services, including nutritional counseling.

Looks like Planned Parenthood and Kevin Jennings type "age-appropriate health education services" are coming to a school near all of us if this passes. Oh yeah...and it looks like they will be screening kids for "mental illness" too.

as Philip Klein explains (http://twitter.com/philipaklein) “They’re using this old bill because under recon rules, they need a bill that was sent to budget cte by Oct. 15, 2009.”

I’ll second the wish that all who vote for such an evil thing, spend eternity in Hell paying for their evil deeds.
Abortion is NOT healthcare! It is murder.

I agree. Econ is a lot like Math and biology. There are basic rules and laws that ring true throughout the universe. Screw up a rule in math and you flunk a test. Screw up a rule in econ and you mess up an economy. The "old" guys understood that.

"wait....if the public option is in, then this isn’t the bill passed by the Senate, which means it can’t go straight to the president’s desk. Right?"

They've posted the Reconciliation bill, which by Constitutional requirement, MUST originate in the House. The House is readying to pass this Reconciliation bill which would then "deem" the original Senate bill (H.R. 3590). Once H.R. 3590 passes, it will be sent to the President for his signature.

This reconciliation bill would then need to be passed by the Senate, and then sent to the President.

They are two separate bills H.R. 3590, the original Senate bill and this Reconciliation Bill (HR number yet unknown).

Is that the only change? Perhaps the communists thought "one little line, nobody will notice..."

BTW, it is also my understanding that if there are changes it's got to go back to the Senate.

Of course the communists may just make up another "rule" just like the "Virtual Vote" rule...

Call your senators and Congressional representatives and tell them to vote, "NO" to this legislation.

I don’t think those are the kind of Republican ideas that should be included.

Of course not, just ask those who voted to keep slavery legal, or those German lawmakers that voted for the Nuremberg laws that lead to the final solution.

No, God keeps out of these matters.

Ok. Dumb this down to my level......if the house passes this bill, it has to go through the Senate first. If the House had passed the bill straight out of the Senate, then it would go straight to the president’s desk. So by posting this bill it’s good news, because there’s still the Senate to get through.

Oops, I've left out a word. It should have read...

"The House is readying to pass this Reconciliation bill which would then "deem" the original Senate bill (H.R. 3590) passed (by the House)"
