The Democrat Party is declaring War on the American People
My Keyboard ^ | March 20 2010 | Robert Eimiller

Posted on 03/20/2010 1:41:05 PM PDT by Bob Eimiller

This massively unpopular Health Care Monstrosity is being slammed through Congress for one reason... and the reason is not compassion for the poor. This bloodless "attack" is the major offensive in an obvious ideological war to force the American people into irreversable socialism.

The will of the people be damned. The Obama Doctrine is as Barack Obama has stated during his presidential campaign... to transform America. We are witnessing the overthrow of our political system and the destruction of our 234 year way of life.

Our country has fought numerous wars to protect our liberty. Virtual "rivers" of blood have been shed for over two centuries by American Patriots willing to sacrifice their lives for our freedom. The Memorial Day holiday was instituted specifically to honor those who made the supreme sacrifice for our protection... Future Memorial Days will ring hollow after Sunday if this odious bill is jammed through and shoved down our throats.

I truly believe America is again at war and the Democrat Party is the enemy. A democratic republic means specifically that the will of the people is paramount. Totalitarianism deems a central and all powerful federal government dictates to the people.

I believe Sunday is the tipping point. Are we going to be free? Or are we going to do what may be necessary. Patrick Henry said it best... Read your history books... the few that are left and haven't been rewritten.

No, we have been verging on “socialism” for years now. With social programs like the New Deal and War on Poverty, that was the socialism part. We have now evolved into fascism with the election of Obama.

It's not just the Democrat party. This has been going on for decades, and while the Democrats have typically been the prime driving force, the Republicans really have done nothing over the decades to reverse this long "progressive" expansion of the central government.

When Democrats drive the bus, they floor it and hurtle down the road to socialism at 90 mph. When the Republicans are driving, they may only be going 50 mph, but they always head in the same direction.

This entire federal government is hopelessly out of control because we have allowed a privileged ruling class of professional politicians develop. They'll never willingly reform and cut the central government back to the minimal, Constitutionally-bound original purposes because they've got a very plush, secure, comfortable lifestyle for themselves.

I hate to be a pessimist, but the only thing that will get this malignant, hostile central government back under control is a hard reset, and I don't see how that can happen without either complete collapse or great violence. Either mechanism will not be pleasant.

Dark days ahead.

“The Democrat party is not the whole enemy. The enemy is government in all of its natural-rights-violating forms”

I agree. I’m stunned at how out of touch (or uncaring) our elected representatives are with we the people. I’ve seen an ever-expanding government over my lifetime. I’ve seen various groups singled out as being wronged somehow, and that we the people needed to step up and right the wrongs. Oh—and BTW, the middle class will be paying for all this with higher taxes and fees, and the institution of a bigger and bigger government bureaucracy to set up the “programs” that would solve all the problems and injustices. The people I’ve met at the tea parties are these middle class people who have been quietly paying the bills all these years and allowing the government to play a bigger role in their lives. They’ve reached their tipping point. Listening to Rep. Cardoza in the reconciliation committee today, I was embarrassed for my country. And he’s just one I use as an example. He has been watching way too many Oprah shows. His arguments in favor of Obamamcare amounted to a segment from her show. Apparently there are enough people out there who swallow this cr*p and elect these kinds of people. I don’t know what the resolution will be....I’m afraid it is not going to end well.

I’ll give you that but... The American sheep expected something else. Fascism is a disease that must be eradicated before it becomes entrenched. It is at it’s weakest during it’s birth.

the republic is not like santa claus. the health of its spirit or how fondly we remember it counts, really, for nothing.

EXACTLY BOB!! That’s why we have to stop with the “socialism” label and describe it for WHAT IT IS!

Then we can have a greater chance of blocking it. Right now people hear “socialism” and think “Europe doesn’t have it so bad” (even though we know they do). However to explain what fascism is and compare to this health insurance plan... we’ll have a greater chance of stopping it before it is entrenched.

If the republic is dead, then states have to break away if there is a hope for liberty to remain.

My personal opinion is this fight within the political framework of DC is a waste of time. By definition a "republic" is the form of government which in our case currently resides in DC.

1 a (1) : a government having a chief of state who is not a monarch and who in modern times is usually a president (2) : a political unit (as a nation) having such a form of government b (1) : a government in which supreme power resides in a body of citizens entitled to vote and is exercised by elected officers and representatives responsible to them and governing according to law

Obviously, we are no longer a "Republic" The law is meaningless and the citizens are ignored at best. Thats why I think it is dead.

Our fight should be at the State level to extradite the "United" States one by one from the grip of a overbearing near totalitarian federal government. Cut off the beast tentacles one by one.

We should work to neuter the federal government by getting the body politic in the states to basically tell Uncle Sam to go pound sand. That is the future battle: states rights

Hey, I also watch the economy. I know a lot of FReepers think it’s “liberal” to question fiat currency or question a private banking cartel provided monopoly status by the federal government, but I think the fiat currency charade may be about to run into the brick wall of reality, and not just in the US.

The Euro is in trouble. China’s riding a huge bubble. Banks are defaulting. Banks are lying about their assets. The Fed is advocating 0% reserve fractional reserve banking.

Dark days ahead, indeed

You say the Republic is dead... I say the spirit will never die... unless we let it.

The spirit of freedom will never die, but the rotting bloated corpse of this current republic needs to stop being propped up as being a legitimate republic and we need to start again. State by state to rebuild a true republic form of government.

A wise man once said, “Nothing is over until we decide it is! Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor? Hell no!”

Fact is, this is not over, but but we face a very long, hard slog ahead. We did not degrade to this extent overnight, and the rebuilding will not occur overnight either. I am optimistic, because the sleeping giant appears to be awakening.

Typically, for fascism to take hold requires at least the acquiescence if not the outright cooperation of the military. I believe the military are made of much sterner stuff.

Who said the Republic is like Santa Claus?? A republic means Liberty. A republic means turning democracy into a workable system. Pure democracy breeds chaos and is unworkable. When elected representatives rule against the will of those that elected them there are very few corrective measures available, one is the ballot box. Unfortunately once the rogue representatives create an unworkable system that becomes an entrenched bureaucracy with tentacles corrupting the whole system something else is needed as a remedy.

The purpose of Obamacare has nothing to do with our individual health. The purpose is to bring the U.S. economy down, and the one calling the shots is George Soros. He needs the U.S. economy and capitalism destroyed, so he can establish the world-wide “Open Society” he plans to direct. Put “Open Society” in your search engine, and you can read Soros’s plans. The Ayatollah Obama is Soros’s puppet - bought and paid for.

Fearing redundancy but I must say it again: many politicians, judiciaries, federal and state and local agencies, unions, news media, and entertainers have declared war on most of the citizens of this nation. Do we think we can defeat them at the ballot box? Will organizations such as the “teaparty” grow enough to be a force strong enough to take our country back to its traditional foundation? Or do we need to go beyond peaceful demonstrations and actions to get the attention of our tormentors or do we need to peacefully shut down all commerce for a day or week? Or do we need to stop the flow of revenue to federal, state or local governments (where needed)?
There will be a price we have to pay. How many are willing to pay and how big a price are we willing to pay? I am willing to pay big time but must think about my wife of 48 years.
