Very well said. Thanks for posting this.
We were had by the Republicans, too—the best they could come up with was McCain? I still say that if we’d have had a charismatic, capable candidate, Obama’s run would have failed.
Yes, absolutely. Whoever the party elders are who decided for open primaries, especially so early in so many states deserves maybe even more blame for this than McCain himself.
Why don’t these people go post these articles on sites that are populated with the clueless/lefists/communists?
Most of the freeloaders are not the very poor. They qualify for assistance. Most of the freeloaders are the working poor. A single guy making $400 a week can’t really afford health insurance but he probably can’t qualify for assistance. Under the new plan, he has to buy the health insurance offered by the company or he gets nailed.
Making companies offer health insurance to part time workers sounds good to a politician but most of them can’t afford it. They need that $100 a month for cigarettes and alcohol and cell phone service.
Thank you.
Not sure where you stand on this, but:
Health care is NOT a right, nor is it something that you can force me to pay for you.
One good thing out of all of this..... we discovered some new young rising stars willing to fight, Cantor and Ryan in particular
The promise of reelection or high paying jobs out side of government has got them in a spell.
We could pray for prosecutions on such scores.
Am doubtful but who knows.
I expect a complete communist takeover, and no more elections, ever.
“nor is it something that you can force me to pay for you.”
Oh Hell yeah I can. Ever heard of Medicare? Medicaid?
All those illegals using ER’s for doctors are about to get a rude awakening. The government is going to force them into a Medicaid plan and they will have the premiums deducted from their paychecks. The government will do the same to everyone who refuses to get on an insurance plan.
To paraphrase Kris Kristoferson “Freedom’s just another word for being in denial”.
Which is why we are all in an uproar. Health care is NOT a right. I need food, and because we provide food stamps, does that give FedGov the position it needs to pass Universal Groceries?
“to pass Universal Groceries?”
36 million people go to bed hungry in America every day because Big Grocery denies them the food that they need.
Sound familiar?
I WANT FREE GROCERIES!!!
I WANT FREE HEALTH CARE!!!
I WANT FREE GASOLINE!!!!
I WANT FREE ELECTRICITY (WITH NO GREEN HOUSE GASES< THHANK YOU!)!!!!!
I WANT, I Want, iwant......
Stinking liberals.
Having said that, you support their position? Or perhaps just show a defeatist side of yourself? What point is it you are trying to make? (My original question).
Mandate free groceries? You make a farmer your slave. Mandate free healthcare? You make a Dr your slave.
Health care is NOT a right. Seems simple to understand.
It’s not defeatism. It is just reality. The Democrats didn’t really think this thing through. They wanted socialized medicine but they created a psuedo-system that plays into the hands of the “make everyone pay their way” crowd. Imagine the shock in the Democrat community when their paychecks start dropping to pay for their health care. They thought Obama was paying for their health care from his stash.
Truth is, the “gimme” crowd is far too stupid to understand the concept of “power grab”. It sails right over their empty heads.
No, they’ll only “get it” when they get stuck with bills (and their kids and grandkids) that will water their bleary eyes.
