Please check out the provision for a Commissioned Corps and Ready Reserve Corps. in the healthcare bill. I don't know what it has to do with healthcare but it sounds an awful lot like Obama just got his own personal militia.

http://democrats.senate.gov/reform/patient-protection-affordable-ca...

it starts on page 1312.

Let me see if I understand this...are you saying he’d have a ‘national police force’ to make people do as he wants them to do, like the SS in Germany? Oh man...I thought it was like the draft for service (I read legal stuff and my eyes glaze over), but this is even WORSE!

I remember a RAND study that promoted this, I guess this is now happening. Very sad.

Good. Give them sharp, distinguished uniforms, they’ll be easier to target on that day.

What is this doing in a “Health care” bill and why did no one report it before?

They will not get much of anything for those relatively humble amounts of money. Of course you and I could outfit a nice force for that money but they can’t.

It's an expansion of the Public Health Service Commissioned Corps (remember how C. Everett Koop always wore a uniform?)

Here's a link to some info on the current Commissioned Corps:

Seems it’s a reference to a fast-acting medical service team, not a military/police organization.

What is the Track?

Now that the federal government has taken over all student loans, is everyone who takes one out going to owe them two years of their life?
