For a head of state to visit the White House and not pose for photographers is rare. For a key ally to be left to his own devices while the President withdraws to have dinner in private was, until this week, unheard of.
Yet that is how Binyamin Netanyahu was treated by President Obama on Tuesday night, according to Israeli reports on a trip seen in Jerusalem tonight as a disastrous humiliation.
After failing to extract a written promise of concessions on Jewish settlements, Mr Obama walked out of his meeting with Mr Netanyahu but invited him to stay at the White House, consult with advisors and “let me know if there is anything new”, a US congressman who spoke to the Prime Minister said today.
“It was awful,” the congressman said. One Israeli newspaper called the meeting “a hazing in stages”, poisoned by such mistrust that the Israeli delegation eventually left rather than risk being eavesdropped on a White House phone line. Another said that the Prime Minister had received “the treatment reserved for the President of Equatorial Guinea”.

If Israel were to take Iran on, it would force bigger hands. It is a mistake to think this is ultimiately about Israel and Iran. If either was to take action, it would force others hands. They might do nothing, then again...
I read a thread this morning that said BO left the meeting with Netanyahu saying that he had to go have dinner with MO and the girls.
This guy has rappers and hip hop artists to the WH on a regular basis, having dinner with them, etc. And I bet he didn’t bow to Netanyahu. Only world dictators and terrorists.
If we had asked them to help, they would have. For obvious reasons we did not ask Israel to send troops to Iraq or Afghanistan. That doesn't mean they didn't help us in the war effort. I suspect that while Bush was president a lot of middle east intelligence was being secretly provided by Israel.

And what I would really like to see, is perhaps Jerusalem Prayer Team, or some other organization, take a card saying exactly that, and that “This Administration DOES NOT speak for me! “ Call it an America Supports You letter signing. Release it and let all Americans sign it. They could actually hand deliver it, and come to think of it, I may call tomorrow and suggest it.
The petition they have out to ask Clinton to side with Israel will go nowhere, and might put those who sign it on a list of some sort.
