Dingell Confirms What Thinking People Already Knew

Earlier this week I concluded an article with the following paragraph:

“But then again, this debate was never about improving the healthcare system, but rather it was a debate about control. Democrats have proven that whether it is the banks, the auto industry and now healthcare, they simply want more control in Washington. Of course, when the Democrats and a bunch of Washington bureaucrats control your healthcare then they can control your life. And more importantly, they can also control your death.”

Now John Dingell, the Democratic congressman from Michigan, has confirmed exactly what I stated in that paragraph.

Here is why we have to repeal HCR: If we settle for simply "modifying" it, the Democrats will hold us up for blame for everything that gets screwed up in the "health care system" (I hate that term) going forward from here. They'll claim that "the original bill handled that problem, but the GOP took out that mechanism so now it's a disaster." The media, of course, will back them up on this.

That's why it's got to be "end it, don't mend it."

Of course, when the Democrats and a bunch of Washington bureaucrats control your healthcare then they can control your life. And more importantly, they can also control your death.”

We have a one up on them, we have God. I think as things began to crumble we will see God's hand move more and more as His people began to trust Him more and have greater faith in Him. Supernatural faith given by the Holy Spirit is one of the gifts of the Spirit. God is still in the miracle business, for physical healing, as well as anything else.

Our strength lies in God. Do what you can do, what you know to do, what you feel God leading you to do. Pray, fast if you feel lead to. The rest we must leave up to God. Learning that we just can't control everything, but, God can. As awful as the health care bill is, as awful as what we see coming down the road is, this maybe the place God is leading us to. Out of Egypt into the promised land. So we will began to completely rely on Him for everything. This is not a bad place to be. It is a good place to be, a place of peace, comfort, strength, rest. That's where miracles happen. That's where our relationship with God strengthens and becomes what it should be.

(Found this fiction on the internet.)

INT. UNDERGROUND DC PARKING GARAGE. BOTTOM LEVEL. NIGHT.

Libra’s footsteps echo off the walls. The buzz of a flickering neon light is heard. In the corner of the garage a whole sector of lights has gone dark. Shadows thicken. A lighter flickers in the darkness as a cigar is lit.

LIBRA: Carthago. Countersign?

CENTURION: Delenda est. Sort of overly dramatic don’t you think?

LIBRA: Not paid to think. What is the assignment?

CENTURION: The Wing thinks it’s time to lay a little blue smoke between the mirrors. Take the heat off our team and torch the other side. That’s your job.

LIBRA: Fine. How wet does the Wing want it to get?

CENTURION: We project that if three team members are sent down it should put a stop to any attrition in November.

LIBRA: Wouldn’t taking out just one serve the same purpose?

CENTURION: No. It has to look like a pattern.

LIBRA: Fine. Any particular team members you need erased?

CENTURION: Nobody from Chicago or San Francisco. And from safe seats only. We need to preserve the count. Renegade’s very keen on that.

LIBRA: Level of obfuscation?

CENTURION: None. Public and messy. “Accidents” would be counter productive. But no families. Renaissance would be upset.

LIBRA: Timing?

CENTURION: Within the next 10 days. It would be best if all three were within the same day.

LIBRA: You want target clearance and notification?

CENTURION: No. This will be the last contact for this contract.

LIBRA: Half to the Bahamas account by noon tomorrow and the half on completion to our friend in Costa Rica.

CENTURION: Done.

LIBRA: Anything else?

CENTURION: No. If we need you again we can always find you.

LIBRA: That’s what you people always think. Oh, by the way, was that stuff about you being naked in the showers the real deal?

CENTURION: Just get it done.

FADE TO BLACK

This is not an administration. What we have had is a bloodless coup.

It will NOT get better for us.

Pride, personal integrity, accountability and self-respect have been so far bred out of the American culture that absolutely ANYONE (and I mean ANYONE) can come along and foist the most shameful and degradingly patronizing language and legislation onto the public with impunity.

Where is the outrage??? Where is the shame in having our individuality and self-esteem so summarily ignored and discredited?

Standing in line with my hand out is NOT the way I envisioned my future when I was a student, watching my family struggle in their efforts to REMAIN a family and to provide for my brother and for me.

No one complained and no one blamed the government for what we did NOT have. Instead, we appreciated what we DID have and the fact that opportunities were there if we wanted to work.

I knew we were not wealthy. But in the back of my mind, I didn’t care because I knew our real wealth was that we lived in a place where we HAD opportunities to strive and also in the pride and determination my parents had in BEING ABLE to succeed in spite of our situation.

When you walk around the cities of this country you see young kids who are basically ‘un-parented’ (their parents gave birth to them but not much else, not even a name). When you look in their eyes, it’s scary. Young as they are, you see a blasted spirit where there should be energy and vitality.

The new HCR legislation assures that these kids and more just like them NEVER possess the self-respect and optimism necessary for a wholesome spirit. They will never be fulfilled and self-assured adults. Standing around with your hand out does that to a person.

I would not put it past them. All they care about is power, and “the end justifies the means” to them 100%.

You are absolutely correct. Plus the worst features of this are set to go off like a time bomb after Barry leaves office. Dems would like nothing better than to have a Republican in the WH when this happens. They must repeal and start over. We also really need to think about a Constitutional Amendment to prevent Congress from passing complex bills and tax increases that are set to kick-in on somebody else’s watch.
