But, yes -- if Kokesh were to win the GOP nomination, I'd vote for Kokesh over the Democrat.
The Democrat, Ben Lujan, is radically pro-Abortion. I won't support or vote for pro-Abortion candidates. (It's one of the few reasons that I don't write very much in favor of Peter Schiff, much as I might otherwise approve of his Austrian-school economics).
That's just a personal promise to myself, and not something I impose upon others. But do you have a problem with me choosing to stand by my own personal vow on the subject of Pro-Abortion politicians?? Good grief.

Like you said yourself, I DON'T know enough about Adam Kokesh's personal history to have a "possible reason do you have to trust him on anything" -- which is why I prefer to support his opponent, Tom Mullins. (Believe me, if I thought for one second that Kokesh was "now the second coming of Ronal reagan" as you put it -- I'd support him, not his opponent).
By contrast, I'm pretty confident that his opponent, Tom Mullins, really is genuinely Pro-Life. Which is why I'm supporting Tom Mullins.
BUT, if the race somehow did come down to Kokesh versus Lujan -- then I KNOW that Lujan is radically Pro-Abortion; and so I would votefor Kokesh and AGAINST the Pro-Abortion candidate, Lujan.
We can play this game with any Congressional race you like, not just this one. Name ANY Congressional race between a known Pro-Abortion Democrat, and a "maybe-Pro-Life" Republican -- and yes, I'll support the Republican against the Democrat, and hope for the best.
Like I said, this is a personal vow to which I adhere on the subject of Pro-Abortion politicians. ALL Pro-Abortion politicians. Ben Lujan does not get a "Pass", sorry.

In the meantime, however -- I expect that Mullins will win the GOP nomination, not Kokesh, so it will be a moot point anyway.
...Then I will happily join you in smearing Kokesh into the dirt, on the very grounds of party unity which you dismiss as unimportant.
But hopefully, Mullins will win the nomination handily, and Kokesh will shut up and go away. OR demonstrate that he's going to be a good "team player" Republican, and urge his supporters to vote for Tom Mullins -- like a good Republican should, in respect to a decent Republican Primary opponent.**
