Report: Attack on Jindal Aide and Boyfriend Politically Motivated (Beaten for wearing Palin buttons)

Joe Brown and Allee Bautsch

Allee Bautsch, chief campaign fundraiser for Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal, and her boyfriend Joe Brown, were savagely beaten Friday night in New Orleans after leaving a Republican party fundraising dinner by a group of thugs who reportedly targeted the couple because they were wearing Sarah Palin pins.

Bautch's leg was broken and Brown incurred a broken jaw and nose as well as a concussion.

The Hayride reports that a source who visited Bautsch at the hospital the day after the attack says they were told the couple was attacked for wearing Palin buttons:

Two people at the Brennan’s event have now confirmed that the protest had largely broken up by the time it ended, but we also understand from someone who visited Allee Bautsch in the hospital Saturday morning that she and Brown were followed and attacked expressly because they had Palin pins on (she heard one of the attackers say “Let’s get them, they have Palin pins on” – so the attack WAS politically motivated as its victims understood it. It was not a mugging, it was not an argument gone wrong and it was not a bar fight.

The story of a Republican and her boyfriend being viciously attacked for wearing Palin buttons has yet to make national headlines, unlike say, unfounded rumors of nasty words being said by Tea Party protesters.

Looks like we’re going to have to wait for Breitbart and O’Keefe to break it.

The investigation is underway. The NOPD should make an announcement.

“Revolutions are born of this stuff!”

Revolution is exactly what the left desires. They tried to instigate it in the 60’s and 70’s, using civil rights and the Vietnam War. They failed. King's non-violent approach, the churches, and morality of USA society were too strong.

Now they are at it again. They hope for violence to irrupt, because that will help to establish a totalitarian state faster than doing it incrementally, to name just one reason.

Editorial: Misconduct and morale
Tuesday, April 13, 2010

A barroom fracas between off-duty New Orleans police officers and transit workers and the apparent cover-up that followed is a distressing example of police misconduct that clearly deserves federal scrutiny.

The FBI confirmed last week that the Mardi Gras 2008 brawl is one of eight civil-rights probes it is conducting into police actions, and that needs to be done.

...followed and attacked expressly because they had Palin pins on...

Media response: "no hate crimes here. Move along."

UGH - yep, one in the same. Gee, abb thanks so much for *that* Perhaps this investigation will be different, since the one you posted about involved off-duty police officers.

If The Hayride is on top of it, it WILL get reported. I know the guy who runs that blog. He won’t quit digging.

The difference is, if the attackers were black, that would make it a hate crime, because the victims were a white couple.

If the attackers were white, it wouldn’t be a racially motivated attack. Either way, though, it’s a politically motivated attack. More Palin Derangement Syndrome.

There are far more racial crimes in America that involve blacks attacking whites than whites attacking blacks.

I’m under no delusions regarding our media, though.....when blacks are the victims, it’s the lead story on the evening news night after night. When the victims are white, the media ignores the story.

Can you imagine the media coverage of this incident if a black couple were wearing Obama buttons and they just left a rally for the “One,” and were then attacked by a white mob yelling...”Get them! They’re wearing Obama buttons!”
It would be wall-to-wall media coverage, 24/7.

So far, I haven’t heard anything on Rush.
