THIS YEAR: JOIN the WALKOUT! Help spread the word to parents around the state and around the country! And here's what you can do in your own school:

(1) Call your school and demand to know if there will be ANY activities regarding the Day of Silence, and what day it will be held.

(2) Let them know that your child(ren) will not be coming to school that day - and why.

NOTE: This also applies to private schools and (sad to say) even some parochial schools.

Based on my memory of long-ago PTA days, I don’t think a student walk out will affect the schools’ funding UNLESS the walkout is September 30. There is one day out of the school year (IIRC, 9/30, needs verifying) when schools’ attendance nationwide is counted for federal funding for the entire school year.

If it were me, I’d organize like-minded parents and advise the school that should it proceed with this or any related program this year, all our kids would be otherwise engaged come next 9/30 (or whatever day it is).

I grew up in Palm Springs with a gay father. I know more about homosexuality and homosexual sex than a lot of gays do.

They use terms like fag, queer, homo, queen...all the time.

If they can use the terms, why can’t I?

If I grew up as part of the community, then no it wouldn’t be derogatory.

I know white who use the “N” word with their black friends and the black friends don’t balk.

I am not going to have someone who didn’t grow up where I did, or know my exact situation and relationship to the community tell me what vocabulary I can use. I hate ‘word police’.

BTW, I am strongly opposed to homosexuality because, growing up in the community I know EXACTLY what they are really like and how they recruit others (including children). Like a kid from a high gang area becoming a cop.

It is all about direct access to children. Homos can have no children of their own to molest and sexually harrass, so they must go after the children of other people to harrass, access, adopt, and molest as they see fit.
