White NBC Reporter Confronts Black Man at Tea Party Rally: 'Have You Ever Felt Uncomfortable?'
News Busters ^ | 04/16/2010 | Brent Baker

“There aren't a lot of African-American men at these events,” NBC News reporter Kelly O'Donnell, a white woman, told Darryl Postell, a black man at a Tea Party rally held Thursday in Washington, DC, pressing him, in an exchange she chose to include in her NBC Nightly News story, to address her prejudiced assumptions: “Have you ever felt uncomfortable?” Postell rejected her loaded premise that race must divide Americans: “No, no, these are my people, Americans.”

O'Donnell's story noted “skepticism over how the Tea Party is judged and labeled,” letting an attendee assert: “We're not racists, we're not any of the above that people claim us to be. We're ordinary citizens that love our country, and we're fighting for it.” O'Donnell soon wondered if it all may peter out, asking a man in the crowd: “Do you think this has enough energy to really last to November and to make a difference?”

Democrats and Liberals are possessed by race, gender, sexual orientation, class, you name it. They are the party of labels and discrimination.

They are the party of victimhood and 'everything envy', seeking to find who has more/better so they can whine they are a victim. Can't be a victim without someone to blame. Pretty normal in three year olds, not so much in those who have reached some form of emotional maturity.

Perfect answer would have been, “No, never, at least not until you asked me that racist question.”

When they did get to the story I wanted to see they spent all of 20 -30 seconds and the “news” jockeys seemed to be dumbfounded and disappointed.

I was at our local Tea Party, and I caught the 10 o' clock news - wanted to see how they covered it. It was about a 5 minute segment. 1 minute was spent on the tea partiers. 2 minutes were spent on some damn fool who tried to get himself arrested. The last 2 minutes were spent on the counter protesters.... and FWIW, the counter protest was so pathetic that I found out I was sitting in front of it, and didn't even realize it. I watched the news and said "Ohhhh!!! So THAT'S what was going on....."

They undercounted turnout, as well. I'd guess that there were 2500-3000 people there, news said 2000. At least they were close.

Really! Polite people would never go up to someone and immediately single him out specifically because of his race unless they’re- racist!

I’m still highly amused by the various lib talking heads inability to understand the basis for the Tea Party movement. The fact is conservatives and the Tea Party attendees are fed up with the growing federal government intrusion into our lives. For the life of me I can’t understand how Big Media can miss that core message. They think it’s all about taxes, and taxes are certainly part of it. But until libs understand that the argument is about the role of government as defined by the constitution, they’ll never understand conservatives or Tea Partiers.

“There aren't a lot of African-American men at these events”

131M votes cast 2008 x 13% of voters black (NYT exit poll) x 95% black voters for Obama (ibid) = 850,000 black voters for McCain nationwide

131M votes cast 2008 x 74% of voters white (ibid) x 55% white voters for McCain (ibid) = 53,317,000 white voters for McCain nationwide

Ratio is about 62 to 1, no surprise to anybody.

I’ve seen some local reporting on the Tea Parties that is straightforward, decent and accurate. I also viewed some clips last night that made me want to vomit it was so crudely biased.

"Lil' Kelly"

The question I would like to ask these lib reporters is why they like big government so much. Why are they so afraid of people taking control of their lives without government interference. I doubt someone like Kelly has ever asked herself or her lib friends that question.

Did she sound panicked when she asked that?

She, and the other idiot mediabots, should look at how long tea parties have been going on already. Does she really think that something that has been rolling alone for about a year now(from the start of the idea)and gathering steam steadily will suddenly collapse?

Next time you see a “journalist”, ask them to describe how their job is different from a propagandist.

Funny, not only do I not see a decline in energy, the patriotic Tea Party energy still seems to be growing exponentially. [Obama/Pelosi’s only positive contribution in their miserable and destructive lives is reminding us that patriotism is our job and cannot be delegated. ]
