...The left cant compete in the Christian market. Lets face it, the folks who declare Robert Mapplethorpe art simply have no credibility in that particular market. With that said, Country is a family friendly format they still think they have a chance of corrupting, and Miley Cyrus may be their perky little Trojan horse into that industry...

Well, guess what? The 'industry' is trying to push the Dixie Chicks back on to country music fans by this...
Eagles, Dixie Chicks, Keith Urban to tour together this summer
The trek kicks off June 8 in Toronto, extending through a June 24 show in St. Louis, MO. Additional stops are scheduled for East Rutherford, NJ; Boston; Philadelphia; Washington, DC; Chicago; and Winnipeg, Manitoba.
The Toronto, Winnipeg and St. Louis dates will feature the Eagles and Dixie Chicks only.
Dixie Chicks--Martie Maguire, Emily Robison and lead singer Natalie Maines--will be making their first live appearance as a trio in four years.
LOL I just quickly looked them up and it seems like they are on a big has beens tour with the Eagles! Amazing how fast they can fall.
...more like Trojan 'ho...
Ain’t near as cool as gun-totin’ Miranda Lambert...
Naw. I don’t think the poles would want anything to do with her.
Used to crack me up watching Britney claim she wasn’t selling sex then watching her go onstage and hump the air with her pelvis. I imagine Miley could wind up in the same ru.
rut.
I use to want to go to an Eagles concert. After the release of their last anti-American POS album, I have lost all interest in going to an Eagles concert. I’ve never wanted to see a Ditsy Chicks concert.
“Leif Garret”
Wha’chu talkin’ about, Willis? Leif Garrett is on World’s Dumbest with former alleged knee-beating accomplice/instigator Tonya Harding. And you have the gall to imply that Leif Garrett is NOT now an international star? LOL.
Sorry. My mistake. :0)
You got that right.
I found who I was talking about Chet (just forgot his last name, erg)
The guy I was thinking of was a self taught Tromobone jazz player.
I found this site:
http://elvispelvis.com/suicide.htm#1
Seems all the musician suicides have one thing in common substance abuse/deppression.
Sad they could not find peace in there suffering in an alternative venue.
“I was drunk the day my Mom got out of prison
and I went to pick her up...in the rain
But before I could git to the station in my
pickup truck
She got runned over by a damned ol’ train”
You really have to admire a music genre that can inspire a lyric like that.
The Dixies according to a tv interview are no longer.
Two of the gals are coming out with an album this year and did not intend #3 (I believe the one who had loose lips) to be apart of their restart under a new name.
#3 is living in a non musician mode on some land with her husband...IIRC and said no hard feelings to being quietly left out of the new direction the other two have taken minus her.
I did not know there was so many venues of Country.
I listen/watch with KV.
I talk to people on our sorjourns and what little I have gathered was that there is this Pop Country music which is not music and the old twang Country music that the older folks I chat with claim is real country music.
KV and I like Zac Brown band (fiddle music).
Waylon Jennings and Dwight Yoakam are coming to our area, what venue of Country are they?
I though about getting tickets for KV to attend.
The Gather Bros Gospel Band are coming back to our area for a second time in our history this year and for sure going to get KV tickets to that event.
She already has a tattoo. I saw a segment on Red Eye or something about it. Her whole family went and got “Breathe” tatted on their chests.
For the record, the song, “You Never Even Called Me By My Name,” from which you quote the lyrics, was written by Steve Goodman, now deceased. Coe recorded it but he even talks about Goodman having written it during the song.
Wow as in?
I saw a thread here at FR about the youngest Cyrus kid and her having her own clothes line that in my honest opinion looked like fashion from the closet of an old drunk 45yr old whore.
But thats just my opinion.
Guess bunnies and butterflies on kids clothes went out of fashion. ( I am not a Mom with youngins so what do I know).
Ha. You have an update to my old news now post.
