SAN ANTONIO -- An 18-wheeler being loaded with fuel at a San Antonio refinery has exploded.

Television stations showed footage Wednesday of an enormous black plume spewing from the AGE Refining Inc. unit on the city's southeast side.

Refinery marketing director Jeff Morrow says the truck exploded late Wednesday morning at the facility that refines gas and jet fuel, but he had no other details.

San Antonio Fire Chief Charles Hood told KENS-TV that the fire had spread to the refining facility, and authorities were trying to assess whether neighbors should be evacuated.

Actually, heavy raid is probably the best wording.
A heavy raid on the pocketbooks of the taxpayers.

"This Refinery does not produce gasoline"

Third sentence in the above article:

"Refinery marketing director Jeff Morrow says the truck exploded late Wednesday morning at the facility that refines gas and jet fuel, but he had no other details".

Obozo’s and the LSM’s predictable responses:

(1) It wasn’t terrorism.

(2) If it was terrorism, it was a racist angry white guy, ie a Tea Partier. GW’s, Rush’s, and FoxNews’ fault.

(3) We can only get control of this problem with more gun control, taxes, and government regulation.

(4) But it wasn’t terrorism. Even if the driver’s name was “Kill All Infidels Jihad.”

"Something is going on.... mark my words.... too many coincidences."

Baloney!

I grew up in the "oil patch" south of Houston. We learned to recognize each of the petrochem refineries and plants along the Houston Ship Channel by their fire alarms. Quite frequently, we would hear a "BOOM!!", followed by an alarm, and we'd say, "There goes Shell Chemical", or "There goes the Sinclair Refinery"...

Folks, petroleum products are flammable and explosive, and loading trucks (rolling static generators) is always dangerous...

We FReepers need to stop seeing a terrorist every time someone stubs their toe!

I can see $4.00 a gallon from my house..

For every dime it goes up, Americans spend that much less on other commodities...

It's a lose lose.

Our nation's infrastructure is a far easier and softer target than attempting mass murder. The enemy knows this, people in national security circles know this, but DHS can do little about it.

If hit, large urban centers could quickly decend into chaos, riots, etc. This will likely become a new topic of Talking Heads on cable news.
