You may remember that during the long debate prior to the enactment of ObamaCare socialized medicine, Democrat leaders sharply rejected claims that ObamaCare would lead to government rationing of medical care.
Howard Dean, former chairman of the Democratic National Committee, said last August on ABC, "Let me just say, A, there's no rationing in any of these bills, so we don't have to worry about that."
And President Barack Obama himself said at a rally in Pennsylvania that the real culprits for the rationing of care were health insurance companies: "The insurance companies continue to ration health care. ... That's the status quo in America, and it's a status quo that's unsustainable."

Anyone with government insurance (Medicaid, Medicare, Tricare etc) should complain to their Dim congressional pol whenever they are personally denied care. We know that government programs deny care at higher rates than the private companies.
I have my patients do this all the time in my office before they leave the office. The elderly and the Medicaid patients know that their programs are being savaged by half a trillion to pay for the expanded government entitlement. An entitlement that will be abused by illegals.
They have no choice but to ration. They’ve removed the free market controls. 47% of doctors that were polled said that they would leave the medical profession if ObamaCare passed. Even of only half of them do, it’s going to create a shortage of doctors. Add to that the fact that they’re adding 30-40 million new insurees that will increase their use of the medical system and they’ve created a serious shortfall. Too few doctors, too many patients.
Insurance companies cannot ration health care. They can say what they will pay for under their contract with me or my employer (and sometimes they do cheat), but they cannot forbid me from seaking other care. Government on the other hand can make it illegal for me to seek and for my doctor to give me treatment we both agree is best for me. I'm waiting for back alley chemotherapy by those seeking care made illegal (or at least delayed for months or years) by Obamacare.

TVs got nothing to do with it. If you have any kind of intelligence it’s pretty easy to weed through the BS and I for one have the TV on in the house & at work pretty much all the time and it’s on FOX 90% of the time and I have Direct TV. Show me the connection from Direct TV to Obama?
Obama is an ass no doubt and there’s a lot of work to do but the only lemmings I know are liberals and they have their heads so far up BO’s A$$ they think like him.
Wrong. Networks control 90% of teh slots on cable and sat TV. You have then you are paying TW/CNN/Turner $4 a month whther you watch it or not. Ditto Disney/ABC/EPSN. Ditto NBC/MSNBC/CNBC/Universal et al. Ditto Viacom/CBS/Comedy Channel/MTV/VHI.
Oh and Fox? Partially owned by the Saudis. The public are lemmings because TV is supporting your serfdom. The networks have all the sports channels and that is where they make their money.

That's not what will happen. People will discover the joys of gaming the socialized medical system, just as others in socialized countries have done.
This will involve (not in any particular order)
Bribes (your doctor, hospital, druggist, politician)
Medical tourism (running to Mexico, or other places to get things done)
Mafia (physical threats against doctors, politicians, etc. to get things done)
Emmigration (going to live in other countries who will provide services for family members who get sick)
BO’s coven of liars also knew that costs would go up for everyone, not down, as the Liar-in-Chief insisted.
Too bad big government can’t be sued for this bait-and-switch con, as they would certainly sue any private business that did not disclose such information.

I think there will be big money to be made in investing in hospitals in Costa Rica, the Bahamas or even on ships outside the three-mile (or is it twelve miles now?) territorial limit.

Isn’t it interesting that all this is coming down just as the time clock of ‘Stand on Zanzibar’ starts up. One of the subplot involved Americans having to go offshore for medical treatment (though the excuse in the book was that the genetically imperfect would be first denied and last approved, especially for pregnancies).
