Remember when the MSM went crazy over [and likely exaggerated] George H.W.'s supposed unfamiliarity with a supermarket scanner? Pres. Obama has now had his supermarket-scanner moment, claiming he doesn't know how to operate an iPod, among other popular electronic devices. Do you think the MSM will pick on this in the same way to paint a portrait of an out-of-touch president?

To be fair, I can't figure out my wife's iPod either. And I think the compressed music files it plays sound like crap.
The truth of the GW Sr. Scanner hubbub:
The bar codes sometime get torn/smeared/stained in product transit. Previously this made them unreadable. With a new fuzzy-logic algorithm, scanners suddenly could consistently read such bars with only PART of the data they previously needed.
For this reason GW Sr. exclaims, “Well, I’ll be..! How about that..!”
But from the way they filmed it, he appears stupidly delighted by something the common Joe had long since accepted.

The situations are not analogous.
An iPod is essentially a music toy. You are either into music or you are not.
Everybody in America, however, eats. Almost everybody in America has recently shopped for food at a supermarket.
George H.W.'s comment made him look elitist since he demonstrated he had not set foot in a food store for years.
Attack Obama for the warehouse-full of legitimate issues that can be used against him. Attacking him for a non-issue is like "crying wolf". After a while, Obama get a Teflon coating because people tune you out.

US president Barack Obama has revealed he still has all of Michael Jackson’s music on his iPod.
Obama, whose MP3 player is also known to include hits by Stevie Wonder and Jay-Z, said Jackson “will go down in history as one of our greatest entertainers”.
The president spoke about the King of Pop, who died on June 25, during an interview at the White House yesterday.

Michelle Obama was both serious (addressing childhood obesity) and silly (attempting to tame the family dog) yesterday during the White House’s Take Your Children to Work Day, but the most pressing issue raised by far: What music is on her iPod? What this really shows is not that he doesn’t know how to use an IPod, it is that he doesn’t know how to tell the truth! Big surprise there.
