Teacher's Aide Caught on Video Stealing the $5 a Day that Calif. Teen's Parents Gave Her to Buy Lunch
(AP) A Southern California jury has awarded $5,700 to the family of an autistic girl whose lunch money was stolen for nearly two months by a teacher's aide. The Ventura County panel found Thursday that Oxnard Union High School District was negligent for failing to remove the aide from Megan Spitzer's special education class in 2007.
Kristen Santoyo was caught on video stealing the $5 a day that Megan's parents gave her to buy lunch at Camarillo High School. Megan was unable to tell anyone but her parents' suspicions finally prompted an investigation. Santoyo, an admitted methamphetamine user, pleaded guilty two years ago and got a 180-day jail sentence.

Death would be too good.
Not even half a year behind bars.

From facebook, lives in Oxnard, CA
This country used to pillory people like the perpetrator. Too bad it was abolished in the early 1800’s.
The POS has a name that makes me think she might be something other than legally in this coutry.... but of course NO ONE in the media or southern California attorneys general will ever say that.
Only 180 days?
After how much suffering and mental anguish she caused that poor little girl?
Dang.
Druggie slime.
How low can you go?
“Death would be too good”
I’m going to go out on a limb and say that’s overstating things.
How old is the teacher’s aid. Article does not say. Would this be an adult?
Who is in the picture?
So, are public school employees exempt from drug testing?
Yep, tar and feathering should make a comeback.
Pillory? How about impalement!
There's no need to slime every citizen with a name that you don't like just because of the actions of this POS.
Taken BEFORE her teeth rotted out of her head.
Speaking of that... I always wonder why there are no anti-meth campaigns showing what it does to people’s teeth. That could be a deterrent to those who are considering trying it.
Now that she has a criminal record she shouldn’t be able to work around children. Especially since the crime involved a disabled child.
