Saturday morning in Lynchburg, Virginia, Liberty University conveyed an honorary doctorate in humanities and scientists on Mormon conservative media heavyweight Glenn Beck.
Breaking into his trademark tears, Beck told the stadium of 8,000 Liberty University grads and 20,000 friends and family members, "as a man who was never able to go to college—I went for one semester but I couldnt afford any more than that---I am humbled and honored."
This was such an inspiring speech, gave me chills. My sister will graduate from Liberty next year, it is truly a great place.

When I see Beck (not often because of schedule) I think of him riding his horse all night to get to a Sons of Liberty meeting, shouting out at the back of the hall to bring up some facts & quotes from the opposition that no one paid any attention to —

Go Glen. The first time I heard of the illegal immigration issue was on his show — a couple of years ago before he was on Fox. I started paying attention to him then.
Too bad Beck refuses to look for Obama’s Birth Certificate....
Thanks for posting this, STARWISE. I saw it earlier on another site and put it on my FB page....I cried right along with him. I’m so glad he’s on our side. I’m so glad he wants to spend the energy to do all he does. I’m most glad that he made the right choice at 30! He may very well be saving America.
Yes, but I understand why he does. There is so much to tell America - you need to pick your battles and use your credibility wisely. I don’t ever remember him saying it was false, just “a waste of time.”

I’ve heard and delivered many a sermon in my life, but that is one of the best sermons I’ve ever heard. That was a “Come to Jesus” sermon, and yes, I cried too. I know where he’s coming from.

I was a member of the moral majority (umpteen years ago). Who today is championing the cause of Christ and appearing on major cable and TV shows when there is a controversial issue like Dr. Falwell did. Franklin Graham on occasion.
Signs are pointing to last days more than ever before. We must be prepared.
