Political Correctness: While New York City OKs construction of a "monster mosque" at ground zero, the feds pay rent to a D.C. mosque tied to the Pentagon attack. Have we gone totally soft?
Imagine on the 10th anniversary of Pearl Harbor, we let the Japanese erect a cultural center at the site of that attack. Exactly. It would never happen.
So why are Manhattan officials bowing to demands by a group called the American Society for Muslim Advancement to open — on of all days, Sept. 11, 2011 — a 13-story shrine to Islam in the shadow of the beautiful skyscrapers terrorists turned to ashes in the name of Islam? Why aren't they suggesting they do their Islamic "advancement" someplace else? Why of all places there?
Aren't officials at least curious why these supposedly "patriotic" Muslim activists named their planned $100 million mosque after the Great Mosque of Cordoba — a legacy of Muslim Spain representing the zenith of Islamic dominance?
There may be nothing to it — except that a radical Islamic school in Virginia, raided by the feds after 9/11, also goes by that name. Cordoba University's founder was recently named an unindicted co-conspirator in a terror case. Symbolism is not lost on such jihadists.
New Yorkers should by now have built from that giant hole at ground zero a single, mammoth tower as a one-finger salute to radical Islam and all the terrorists it inspires. Instead, they're building an Islamic tower that Muslim fanatics from around the world will no doubt use as a memorial to their fallen "martyrs" and what they did to us on that "blessed day" of 9/11.

What happened to separation of church and state when taxpayers money is involved? isn’t the mosque a religious facility? yet, the govt is paying the mosque money to rent a building for the Census Bureau? so, other churches in our country can become landlords to the govt?

As a manifestation of Islamic domination and expansionism, mosques have frequently been placed on the sites of the holy places of other religions. The Al-Aqsa Mosque, built on top of the Temple of the Jewish people, which is located in Jerusalem, is the most famous example. Many famous churches have been turned into mosques, including the Aya Sofya Mosque in Istanbul, which until the Islamic conquest of Constantinople of 1453 was the grandest church in Christendom. The Umayyad Mosque in Damascus was, before the Islamic conquest, the Church of St. John the Baptist. Historian Sita Ram Goel has estimated that over two thousand mosques in India were built on the sites of Hindu temples.
Rally speakers and participants will stand with those who lost loved ones on 9/11, and call for an end to plans for this mosque that insults the memory of those who died on that day.
Ground Zero mosque imam Feisal Abdul Rauf has blamed the West, rather than Islamic jihadists, for terrorism on several occasions. He has said, according to Australia’s Sun-Herald, that “the U.S. and the West must acknowledge the harm they have done to Muslims before terrorism can end.” On another occasion he said that “Western active involvement in shaping the internal affairs of Islamic societies have contributed to the creation of terrorism done in the name of Islam.”
Abdul Rauf has also called Archbishop of Canterbury Rowan Williams’ endorsement of the implementation of Sharia courts in Britain “forward thinking” - despite Sharia’s denial of basic freedoms including the freedom of speech, freedom of conscience, and equality of rights of all people before the law.
You DON'T present the enemy with things, especially big things like a big building adjacent to the site where 3000 humans were murdered by Islamic radicals, that they can use as SYMBOLS to assert to the Islamic world that the West is weak and cannot even defend its, yes, hallowed ground from Islamic intrusion.
To the Islamic radicals, this is a sign from Allah that their path of murder and mayhem is the correct one.
This is eminently outrageous. There are many, many, many other places and buildings in other areas of NYC that would serve as a mosque. But IT IS THE SYMBOLISM OF THE SUCCESSFUL, MILITANT ISLAM THAT IS BEING SOUGHT HERE.
The First Amendment is nothing to Islamic radicals but a joke and a tool to destroy the “degenerate West who put so much store by it.”
Try for once using YOUR First Amendment rights to pay tribute to the 9/11 slain and prevent this evil from occurring instead of using it as an excuse to not do anything.
This is a huge slap in the face for all Americans and all nationalities who both saw and who will always feel in their hearts, the horrible death of those 3000 on 9/11.
That is a sobering, sad, and unfortunately truthful statement. For some unbelieveable reason, the West (U.S., Canada & western Europe) have a suicidal death wish that propels them to pander, appease & capitulate even more. If the Wahhabis used a vast flux of oil money to acquire the World Trade Center site itself and used the property to put up a victory monument, the Righteous Slapping of Amerika the Whore Monument let's call it, complete with glass-and-steel airplanes crashing into glass-and-steel towers, and representations of kaffir New Yorkers diving out 104th-floor windows with their clothes on fire, and the bases of the towers tastefully decorated in "red mist" and verses from the Koran describing in loving detail the eternal torments in Hell of the Unbelievers, which began even before they hit the pavement .......
...You'd say that was covered under the First Amendment, and that we should all just shut up about it, and take it?
