Obama will be on vacation in Chicago this Memorial Day, instead of presiding over Memorial Day ceremonies at Arlington. This may be the first time since the Civil War that a president will not pay respect to the veterans passed.

I was a Life Scout for nearly 4 years before making Eagle, which I did in 2001.
My dad jokes that I wanted to wait until BJ was out of the White House, same as what you report.
My board of review was originally set to be on 9/11/01, but it was postponed until 10/31 for obvious reasons.
By the way, my dad is responsible for soliciting the letters of Commendation from the presidents (past and present) for the upcoming Eagle Scout ceremonies. He reports that Clinton’s letters stopped coming after he was out of office. But GHWB, GWB, and Carter still send letters, and Ford did right up until his death, but not a peep from Clinton after Jan 2001.
My dad also says that some of the scouts go out of their way to tell him “by the way, if you forget to request a letter from Obama, I won’t be too upset. wink wink.”
Oh, so he's visiting his constituents, then?
Beyond disgraceful.
He’s the Commander-in-Chief.
He has an obligation to be there.
This so goes to show what he thinks of our country.
I wonder what the military who voted for him think of this?

Hussein hates America, he hates veterans, he hates our military, and I for one am not too disturbed to see him pretend otherwise. He is a lowlife, and doesn't deserve to be in the presence of our glorious veterans. He should have had the sanity to stay away from West Point last week, but he sullied the accomplishment of our WP grads with his presence.
I will be glad when he is removed from office in 2013 and replaced with someone who loves America.
A Freeper (silverleaf) did some checking and the last time a President missed Memorial Day at Arlington was in 1990 when Bush 41 was in Kennebunkport.

Obama is nothing but an America hating and disgusting Black Muslim that will NEVER amount to anything else.
There is no honor... nor patriotism within him.
The days of honor in leadership will return. We The People will bring them back. If need be, We The People will sacrifice everything we have to reclaim our honorable place in history, our light of Freedom to the world and Liberty for our children and grandchildren.
We have seen honor in leadership, we have heard the words and seen the dreams unfold in front of our own eyes.
It may seem like it was a hundred years ago, but it was only yesterday when a true and honorable leader was at the helm.

This great and honorable man must surly look down on us from Heaven with a smile and a warm heart, as he knows what is in our hearts, he knows our strength and conviction, and he knows that we are right for America and right for the World.

Perhaps for once, when obama appears before our soldiers for a “photo-shoot kind of speach, where he passes before them for a hand-shake and a fawning cheer or smile, the soldiers WILL KEEP A STRAIGHT FACE, WILL NOT CLAP FOR HIM, WILL NOT CHEER FOR HIM, WILL NOT EXTEND THEIR HAND TOWARD HIM TO SHAKE HANDS.
Our soldiers know what this a-hole will not do for them. Let us hope our soldiers can cleverly repay him in kind.

Wouldn’t it be fantastic if on Memorial Day, Fox news were to play speeches from previous (real) presidents given on Memorial Day.
I’ll bet Obama changes his mind and makes a quiet token visit to Arlington.... the two faced POS that he is.
