In reports that appear to have been missed in the flurry of reporting this afternoon on the Obama administration's release of a cursory report on its in-house investigation on the administration's attempted bribery of Rep. Joe Sestak, CNN's John King reported that a White House source told him Barack Obama was kept in the dark about the bribe attempt until "recent days."
Posting on Twitter around 1 p.m. EDT, King reported in three Tweets what his sources were telling him about the unfolding scandal:
WH Source: prez didnt know about rahm/clinton/sestak talks until recent days; GOP pressing for more details.
WH memo lacks important details. Source says COS Emanuel did not check with counsel office before enlisting Clinton. #sestak
Svl other WH aides knew of Emanuel/Clinton effort. WH memo doesn't mention. #sestak
King has not posted to his Twitter account since posting these three reports.
Is someone in the White House trying to create a case for Obama's innocence in the Sestak scandal? It sure looks that way. It's not credible, but it shows an acknowledgement by some in the Obama administration that Obama himself could be in serious trouble if he is found to have been involved in the Sestak bribe attempt.
This is looking more like the Watergate cover-up with each passing hour. (And we know how that ended.)
Unless Holder is forced to appoint a special prosecutor, I hope that the issue will hold valid at least through Jamuary 2011.
I have no doubt ZerO is ignorant.
Malia: Daddy, did Sestak take the bribe?
DumBO shaving: No, sweetheart, we are just waiting for him to plug his damn hole.
Pass the popcorn!!!
It may be looking more and more like a Watergate scandal but there is one VERY important difference. Back then the press hated Nixon so much that each and every day was a new adventure in breathless journalism.
The current occupant of the Oval Office is still beloved by those that malpractice the art of journalist. Although, 300 days between formal pressers will tend to piss-off that crowd and could tilt things in America’s favor.
Y’know if I had a few months to fabricate a story, I can think of none better. My hat’s off to Rahm- an impeccable alibi like Bill Clinton is bullet-proof on so many levels. The “never let a good crisis go to waste” quote bares repeating.
Obama is just the teleprompter reader, so why would anyone expect that they’re telling him anything? You think the Carnie Barker knows whether the circus is making or losing money, or how much the circus help is being paid? Of coursenot; the Barker is just the front man. Just like Obama.
wait. Let’s pretend O was really kept in the dark.....Sestak mentions this is FEBRUARY and Obama is JUST NOW asking questions about it???
Hahahahhahahahha! They’ve dug themselves a deep one now...
Well it’s from a “source” all shadowy and secret and all that. It must be true. OK scandal over. Everyone go home.
You got that right..Nixon wasnt in the Watergate hotel, but he sure as hell knew about it... So Obama needs to be treated just as Nixon was....I can dream cant I?
"I spoke with Sestak OBAMA self"
Obama checked into Walter Reed Hospital to have a fresh gasket fitted to his BOP.

“Sestak agrees substantially with the WH account, and says that shortly thereafter Mr. Clinton dropped the subject and turned to commenting on the rear-ends of passersby. “The guy is a real horndog,” Sestak recalls, “I mean gosh. It was February in DC, with winter coats and everything.”
Oh, Billy Jeff! Will you never change?
yeah,right
Fact is, Obama ignored it for as long as he could, only being forced in recent days to comment, but only after meeting behind closed doors to get their stories straight.
OK this settles it. We are convinced because this White House never lies (super extreme sarcasm)
BARBARA STREISAND!!!!
Hip waders? The way the BS is flying in Washington, we need to be in a full hazmat suit!
