I was wondering how long it would take before some Hollywood talking head brought up Cameron's The Abyss in this context, and lookee what I find!

I'm still waiting for my anamorphic widescreen DVD or blu-ray, James.

Let's get Terry Gilliam on the job.

Even if this were true, that was 15 years ago. Surely the technology has improved since then.

I’d advise to let Michael Moore sink into that gigantic leak.

I bet it will work. Two birds. One stone.

So because Cameron used a bunch of submersibles to film Titanic...this qualifies him as a valid resource on how to cap an out of control oil leak?

Ok...yup...I see the logic...I think....

Wasn’t it Cameron’s brother that did most of the “Engineering” for Titanic’s underwater filming?

At this point, I don’t see what’s wrong with asking anyone that has had any experience doing big projects underwater, to pitch in. Outside of the oil companies, I can’t think of many that have any experience doing large undersea projects. Does anyone know of any other agency or organisation that has any experience like this, that hasn’t been approached for help?

They should bring in Desmond from Lost to plug the thing.

He has abilities and destiny on his side.
