Thursday in which it said that the results of the incident in which Israel intercepted a flotilla trying to break the naval blockade of Gaza "place us at the beginning of the Gog and Magog process where the world is against us, but which ends with the third and final redemption."

The statement explained that while secular Zionism always wants Israel to be beloved by other nations, “the legitimacy of our people is not derived from the nations of the world and their poisonous traditions, rather from the Torah of Israel which teaches us that [Israel] 'is a people that shall dwell alone, and shall not be reckoned among the nations'" (Numbers 23:9).

The council blessed the soldiers of the IDF and called for the formation of an emergency unity government that will bring about the salvation promised by G-d.

They are based on Rabbinic scholars, the writings, and the archeology. Ezekiel is far from the only one. There were literally HUNDREDS of Jewish Prophets.

Moses’ prophecy to the Jewish people about the End of Days was about 3,200 years ago. That is not based on faith. It is based on his teachings.

You seem to have a hard time understanding that Jews have been writing and preserving scrolls before the rest of the world could even read. We have kept a calendar for 5,770 years.

And, please don’t condescend to tell me about any of the Israeli wars- especially the Yom Kippur War.

Most of my family lives in Israel. My family were, and are, in the IDF. They fought in these wars. They are Sephardim who never left the middle east.

In the Liberty “incident” the US was indeed spying and acting against Israel. That is a fact. But forgive me.... I forgot.... we jews are not permitted to defend ourselves, or survive.....

But if your crowd are right about this, shouldn't something have happened by 1988? What was all the "this generation" stuff about? Of course it's hard to believe the end-times crowd takes Matthew 24 all that seriously anyway, since it seems clear to me that Jesus was talking about the generation to whom he was speaking, i.e. his disciples and the crowd around him.

Either way works, for me. I believe it is also, technically, legally, like the bloke who saw Baby Jesus going into the Temple for dedication just before the old man graduated from this life. As long as one person is alive to see the bulk of the prophecies fulfilled who was also alive when Israel became a nation again in 1948 or Jerusalem recaptured in 1967, then that Scripture will be accurately fulfilled. Given folks living beyond 100, 2067-2077 could easily be the upper boundary on that time.

This business of irrationally shoehorning everything into 70AD is one of the most absurd things I've encountered in my entire 63 years of life.

There's not a shred of Scriptural support for it.

There's not a shred of rational, logical support for it.

There's not a shred of UNRUBBERIZED HISTORICAL support for it.

There's not a shred of dictionary support for it.

There's not a shred of linguistic support for it from any of the historical records.

Thought you would like to know that I have passed on word that many in the US are praying for Israel to a young man my daughter is acquainted with online who just finished basic in the IDF. This wasn’t in response to your post that I asked my daughter to tell him of my/our prayers, but be assured that folks in Israel DO know we exist here in the US! :) AND, that the prayers are definitely appreciated — especially by the young soldiers.

Thanks Quix. I sort of misspoke I guess. I knew of Turkey being mentioned in the prophecies, just that I didn’t expect what happened the other day with the flotilla. I certainly didn’t expect the ‘opening salvo’ if that is what it is, to come from their direction. They’ve seemingly painted the U.S. into a corner with their actions - especially if that ship they’ve got patrolling the waters just outside Gaza takes any further actions.
