Salon.com Equates Helen Thomas to Limbaugh, Beck, Hannity; Blames Departure on Sexism, Ageism
Newsbusters ^ | June 8, 2010 | Jeff Poor

It's hard to imagine a scenario where one would be sympathetic toward former "dean of the White House press corps" Helen Thomas following her videotaped remarks that Israeli Jews "should get the hell out of Palestine" and go back to Germany or Poland.

However, in a June 7 column on Salon.com, Anna Clark wrote that Thomas deserved leeway, since some talk radio personalities say "controversial, even despicable comments," but manage to keep their jobs.

"I don't like how Thomas voiced her opinions in this video; it was sloppy and hurtful," Clark wrote. "But her views aren't exactly news; the gist of them are evident from her past columns. Meanwhile, Thomas joins a long line of opinion-makers who have uttered controversial, even despicable comments. Rush Limbaugh, anyone? Glenn Beck? Howard Stern? Sean Hannity?"

Limbaugh, Beck, and Hannity are not representing themselves as “objective journalists”.

Is Salon saying it’s time for the leftist “journalists” to come out and admit that they slant all their reporting to fit their leftist political agenda?

To be fair, Helen formally and publicly declared herself to be a “columnist” a few years ago, when confronted by her off-color remarks and bias against Dubya. Since then, she’s managed to maintain her prime seating assignment in the White House press room, right beside practicing “journalists”.

Go figure.

It's more like the Salon crowd is trying to admit that ALL Leftwingtard journalists are actually anti-semitic ~ even the Jews among their number!

I suppose that's to make Helen Thomas feel that she's not really alone at this moment.

Alternatively, the Leftwingtards are finally admitting they are anti-semites, but we already knew that.

>> Salon.com Equates Helen Thomas to Limbaugh, Beck, Hannity

In some jurisdictions, equating a liberal with Limbaugh is a hate crime.

Helen just let slip what the left believes but knows they must keep hidden.

She got old and either didn’t care or forgot herself.

After all, she probably thinks her existance ends *poof* pretty soon when she dies.

Yeah, Rush, Hannity, and Beck constantly advocate that Jews in Israel be deported back to the lands of Auschwitz, Dachau, and Treblinka. I swear I heard Glenn say it this morning ... /s

So the White House Correspondence Association would have no problem with Limbaugh taking her tenured chair at the press conferences to ask Obama questions directly?

The problem with Salon is, it couldn’t find a clue if it was up there with it’s head. A better placement strategy seems called for, but then that hasn’t helped improve the situation in the past.

No, let’s not address Thomas for what she did. Let’s just smear everyone else who didn’t do it, and has never done anything even remotely similar.

Thomas suggested Israel/Jews should leave their present home in the Middle-East, and return to the two nations who made it the most necessary for them to flee to that location.

When has Rush done anything like this? This was a very crude and destructive smearing by Salon. It should destroy their credibility completely. Alas, that was already done for anyone that has read much of the tripe it puts out.

Those that still read it, are content to expose themselves to the misinformation and slandering it publishes.

Not me.

What "clue"? It is the Democrats' propaganda machine. It doesn't try to be "accurate" or "biting". It is all spin. It doesn't have to be truthful.

Rush Limbaugh was blacklisted from buying an NFL franchise even though the quotes attributed to him (by Media Matters or some similar leftwing propaganda outfit) on wikiquotes were not even his remarks.
