yeah which credible conspiracy site did you read all that on.
I can believe EPA and OSHA people are incompetent. I cannot believe they are so good they conspired to create a set of conditions they knew would cause a massive blowout.
Just takes a couple of people. I suspect Mr. Chuck Hamel knows how it can be done ~ he’s pretty experienced.
Yes they did sink it. You never use water on a fire like that because it will sink, you lket it burn out on it’;s own or you use chemicals because using water will sink it. I watched an expert on Foxnews say this very thing.

also look up the guidelines for fire response on marine vessels, you will clearly see that they sc*ed up badly.
Yes, your logic is nonsense.
Well according to what I saw an expert on Foxnews say they violated every rule of fighting a fire on a marine vessel by loading it up top heavy with water rather than the chemicals they should’ve been using.

I know the point you are making ....That the situation would be much more manageable today if the rig had not sunk. And that fighting the fire on it helped it sink
Dennis.
I will remind you for many years you linked Mother Jones..lol...just a heads up.
*I confess I actually bought it and Utne Reader and NPR in college...shame on me

Mama Jones has its moments. I linked to this one last January or so. Utne reader sure was precious. I tangentially knew the Utnes behind it
Haven’t heard much about the “burp” theory lately.
That "burp theory"?
We are watching the live feed on tv (off and on). The oil is really mixed with a lot of gas ~ maybe this is normal?@
>> Isn’t the “burp theory” the one where ... That “burp theory”?
Yes.
I admit to not following the details and time line closely, but recently I’m noticing news excerpts that seem to point to operator error.
I did a little research (for a couple of hours) and found that this business of using seawater to maintain intrapipe pressures while the cement set elsewhere in the pipe was something that was being foisted off on BP as an environmentally neat idea, and "safe" ~
It's obviously not safe to dispense with pipe stays and "brown mud".
It was OK.
BP received an environmental waiver from Obama.
Your rigs on fire
Lookin' like a fool when your rigs on fire
With the oil in your mouth
Pipes turned sideways
Rig in the sound
Call yourself a cool cat
Looking like a fool
Walking downtown with your rig on fire
Get it up
Hey, get your rig out the sound
Looking like a fool
Walkin', talkin', with your rig on fire
Get it up
Hey, get your rig out the sound
Looking like a fool when your rigs on fire
Oil in your mouth
Pipes turned sideways
Rig in the sound
Call yourself a cool cat
Looking like a fool
Walkin', talkin', when your rigs on fire
Boom, Uno, Dos, Tres
Looking like a fool when your rigs on fire
With the oil in your mouth
Pipes turned sideways
Rig in the sound
Call yourself a cool cat
