Good post! IOWs the eco-wackos, with the help of eco-wacko government agencies, don't want a couple hundred gallons of oil to escape into the sea so they have backed the oil drillers into a corner forcing them to take risks they don't need to. Thanks to them there are 11 dead workers and a monster well blow out.

Does that about sum it up?

Sure, I agree, you can take chances on reasonable things, when the consequences wouldn’t be too bad.

But you don’t take chances on something like this, when the consequences can be catastrophic.

Pretty much it.

Still, this isn't over. BP is still pulling the plug on "brown mud" in the line much too early in the well sealing process ~ all over the world.

Companies they contract with are being held to the same dangerous practices as demanded by the environmentalists.

These people must be stopped, and soon. They've killed more than these 11, but the stories weren't as dramatic so we didn't hear about them.

It's long overdue to start hunting these guys down and forcing them to address the errors in their thought processes.

I hear Peru has some great prisons for doing that too!

Well, we have apparently come to an impasse. The obamamessiah must be called forth to adjudicate over us.
The committee is forming to determine the effectiveness of assigning a committee to ascertain the nature of this dispute.

Reference bump! Thanks - I read similar accounts in the first week - now its “Gee, wonder what happened?” by the presstitutes and Congress in general ... sigh.

In addition, one reason they were out there drilling so deep is that the “environmentalists” don’t want them drilling in sight of shore. Sarah Palin pointed out that the could have been drilling on the North Slope or in shallow water off other states. But the NIMBY syndrome blocked it.

It's just like our troops on the battle field having a lawyer looking over their shoulders before they fire a shot. Or even load their guns. The guys on these rigs that know their business have some company guy telling them "no, the EPA will hang us out to dry if we use brown mud." Lawyers call the shots and our feckless government tells the lawyers how it's going to be.

It all fits together now.

It’s so easy to understand. And once you understand it you also understand what Obama’s propagandists are up to.

I subscribed to them 30+ years ago, when I was a teenager.

Then I grew up. Dropped them well before I finished college.

Do you have any links or citations...On BP not using (or severely limiting use) brown drilling mud due to environmentalist pressure. Thus the eco-wackos are part responsible for this mess

Yep. A much bigger agenda is threatened with exposure here. The nexus between big government and big environmentalism. Green crony-capitalism. The global-socialist scam.

“It had nothing to do with rushing to complete the job. “

The reason they weren’t following protocol is because they were behind. They reported major problems with the well a month before the explosion.

Sure the environmentalists greatly complicate energy production of all types. Sure unions are corrupt.

BP was cutting corners to save money.

I found TENS OF THOUSANDS of references to "brown mud" and "British Petroleum" on Google.com.

I started reading the first half dozen articles and ran into the name "Chuck Hamel".

Then I hunted down his relationship to "Sarah Palin", and lo and behold all this stuff about the Chuck Hamel being a "whistle blower" on BP and how they had misused "brown mud" in their operations, and he got EPA and OSHA to attack and fine them came popping up.

I spent several hours reading through hundreds of articles until I came to comprehend what was going on.

Basically your enviromentalist whackos are using EPA to penalize BP and other companies that pull Brown Mud out of their wells when it's contaminated to any degree with oil.

They use that Brown Mud when they are sealing the production pipes to the drilling pipes. EPA has taken the side of the whackos and decided this is a really serious problem since there's a lot of brown mud involved. They envision the stuff just lying about the countryside killing stuff if its contaminated.

They targeted BP, but in reality they simply want to use the Brown Mud issue to shut down oil well drilling and production!

Prove your case.

What I've shown is that BP used a less safe process for sealing the well to begin production, and that it did so due to pressure by environmentalists elsewhere to do exactly that.

The duration of the sealing process is still controlled by the amount of time it takes the concrete to harden to the point where it is stable ~ that is, mechanically solid and able to withstand normal well pressure.

You must demonstrate that BP actually did something that makes concrete harden faster!

Pfffttt

“You must demonstrate that BP actually did something that makes concrete harden faster!”

No, I only need to prove the blew up a rig and are responsible for a massive oil spill.
