Actually, I’ve seen many posts on FR explaining why Palin is campaigning for McCain. You can accept them, or not. To me it seems like one of those “rock and a hard place” situations. She chose to dance with the one that brought her. Maybe you would’ve done differently. IF she decides to run people can hammer her for supporting McCain (instead of hammering her for NOT supporting as she would be if she chose that). Until then, perhaps it’s better stop this daily nonsense of poking a stick that admire a person you don’t. Seriously, so what?

I think she’s wonderful. I have no idea whether she’ll run. At this point I don’t care and as I don’t know the potential candidates who will be running there’s no point in getting your panties in a wad about something that may never happen. I like reading about things she’s doing because she’s willing to stick her neck out there when others won’t. She drives the left crazy but they have little to fight back with because she uses facts and common sense. She cares deeply about this country and American values. Why not just stay away from the “Palin worship” threads if you have a problem with her? It doesn’t make any sense to constantly argue with people about the same thing over and over and over again. There’s plenty of time to debate when and if she runs. Until then, why not just spend time on other threads instead of doing this crap every day. It gets old.

Sarah Palin joined the ticket after the Primary was over. McCain/Palin took federal money for the general election, which means they had no private donations for that election effort. So why do you think she needs to push for a “return of money”? The only money that came to support HER election was public financing.

Go back and read my post #9 again Mike, “perception is everything”, Sarah may be as innocent in this matter as the driven snow but it is the limited attention span of the typical voter that is going to respond to a ‘Rat-attack using such pictures.

Well, to be fair, there were fundraisers, they just weren’t for the McCain/Palin general election campaign (directly).

The whole “blame people for who they pose with” is an absurd argument, whether made by liberals or conservatives. We need to look for real associations, not proximity.

I remember last week while reading some blog, a guy posting that they had found a picture of his wife and him together at Disney World — when they were both little children. It just happened they were there at the same time, and when the family took the girl’s picture, he was in a stroller in the background right behind them.

These pictures with Rothstein may not have too much of an effect on her right now at this very moment, but if she enters the GOP primaries of 2012, you can bet she’s going to get hammered with them. Guilt by association may not be a fair standard but it is unfortunately the standard used more often than not.
