Hurricane Alex

Hurricane Alex is taking aim at the Texas/Mexico border in the Western Gulf of Mexico. The official NHC forecast calls for Alex to make landfall just south of Texas on Wednesday night. Tropical storm force winds extend 140 miles from the center of the system. Alex is expected to produce total rainfall accumulations of 6 to 12 inches over portions of northeastern Mexico and southern Texas...with isolated maximum amounts of 20 inches.

They eye is very close to the coast and things should start to slow down once inland. That is, if there’s no bounce up the coastline.

As long as you don’t try and drive anywhere.

Was a bit difficult at times coming home earlier. You could see twenty miles to the west and twenty feet to the east, then everything went away. Hydroplane city! LOL

As Hurricane Alex approaches the area the swell waters reached Padre Blvd flooding portions of the street at some point reaching businesses and homes on South Padre Island Wednesday. (Josh Bachman/Valley Morning Star)

My daughter already had a Condo rented for us for next month. The last hurricane that went through there messed up some of the Condo’s for even the following year!
