Think Progress Caught Using Three Year Old Film, Liberal Plants to Smear Tea Party as Racist
Thursday, July 15, 2010 | Kristinn

Posted on 07/15/2010 9:11:21 AM PDT by kristinn

The leftist group Think Progress has taken down and edited a video smearing the Tea Party movement as racist after being caught using three year old footage. The group kept in footage and images of leftist provacateurs who were caught infiltrating Tea Party rallies with racist messages.

Think Progress originally released a 53 second YouTube video yesterday entitled "Tea Party Racism". That video is now blocked and was replaced this morning with an edited version that runs 50 seconds.

Taken out was two short clips of a white man yelling, "Go home wetbacks." That footage turned out to have been posted to YouTube on September 4, 2006.

Also in the video is a still image of a sign that says, "White People Are Pissed." That sign was carried by a leftist infiltrator at the April 2010 Tea Party Express rally in Boston that featured Sarah Palin.

The man in the photo below was run out of a rally by Tea Party activists for wearing Nazi patches on his clothing.

Video of the confrontation can be found here.

Think Progress selectively edited that video of the provacateur being run out of the Tea Party rally and included it in their video to paint the Tea Party as racist.

These deceptions call into question the entire video by Think Progress.

This video of racism by the NAACP has not been called into question, just ignored by the media.

Great post.

“This video of racism by the NAACP has not been called into question, just ignored by the media.”

Heck, BHO’s attendance at Rev. Wright’s racist, anti-Semitic church for twenty years has continually been ignored by the MSM.

Obama’s Pastor: God Damn America, U.S. to Blame for 9/11

Sen. Obama said, “I don’t think my church is actually particularly controversial.”

Wright:

“The government gives them the drugs, builds bigger prisons, passes a three-strike law and then wants us to sing ‘God Bless America.’ No, no, no, God damn America, that’s in the Bible for killing innocent people,” he said in a 2003 sermon. “God damn America for treating our citizens as less than human. God damn America for as long as she acts like she is God and she is supreme.”

“We bombed Hiroshima, we bombed Nagasaki, and we nuked far more than the thousands in New York and the Pentagon, and we never batted an eye,” Rev. Wright said in a sermon on Sept. 16, 2001.

“We have supported state terrorism against the Palestinians and black South Africans, and now we are indignant because the stuff we have done overseas is now brought right back to our own front yards. America’s chickens are coming home to roost,” he told his congregation.

“He has impacted the life of Barack Obama so much so that he wants to portray that feeling he got from Rev. Wright onto the country because we all need something positive,” said another member of the congregation.

Malik Zulu Shabazz, chairman of the New Black Panther Party for Self-Defense (NBPP):
"We believe in a Black first philosophy and a Black Liberation Theology."

"Black theology will accept only the love of God which participates in the destruction of the white enemy. What we need is the divine love as expressed in Black Power, which is the power of black people to destroy their oppressors here and now by any means at their disposal".--James (Jim) Cone,
African American Religious Thought: An Anthology (Paperback)
by Cornel West (Editor), Eddie S. Glaude Jr. (Editor)

SEAN HANNITY: But Reverend Jeremiah Wright is not backing down and has not for years and in his strong stance on the teaching of black liberation theology is nothing new. He had the same things to say last spring when he appeared on "Hannity & Colmes:"

WRIGHT: If you're not going to talk about theology in context, if you're not going to talk about liberation theology that came out of the '60s, systematized black liberation theology that started with Jim Cone in 1968 and the writings of Cone and the writings of Dwight Hopkins and the writings of womynist theologians and Asian theologians and Hispanic theologians, then you can't talk about the black value system.

HANNITY: But I'm a — reverend

WRIGHT: Do you know liberation theology, sir?

“Although it [The New Black Panther Party] says it sees capitalism as the fundamental problem with the world and “revolution” as the solution, the new party does not draw its influences from Marxism or Maoism as the original party did. Instead, in a carefully-worded, roundabout form of ethnic nationalism,[8] they say that Marx based his ideology and teachings on indigenous African cultures, and that the NBPP therefore need not look to Marxism or Maoism as a basis for their program, but can look to ideologies that stem directly from those African origins.”

"The Justice Department originally brought the case against four armed men who witnesses say derided voters with catcalls of "white devil" and "cracker" and told voters they should prepare to be "ruled by the black man." ..."

One poll watcher called police after he reportedly saw one of the men brandishing a nightstick to threaten voters.

As I walked up, they closed ranks, next to each other,” the witness told Fox News at the time. “So I walked directly in between them, went inside and found the poll watchers. They said they’d been here for about an hour. And they told us not to come outside because a black man is going to win this election no matter what.”

He said the man with a nightstick told him, “’We’re tired of white supremacy,’ and he starts tapping the nightstick in his hand. At which point I said, ‘OK, we’re not going to get in a fistfight right here,’ and I called the police.”...”

I guess I just don’t understand the mindset that allows these people to keep trying when they’re caught every single time.

Wright’s now disappeared endorsement (located on Obama website during campaign):

Rev. Dr. Jeremiah A. Wright, Jr.
Senior Pastor, Trinity United Church of Christ, Chicago, IL
Senator Obama’s pastor

I’m concerned with healthcare; the war in Iraq; the high rates of recidivism in our criminal justice system; the poor condition of the Illinois public school system. Many of the resources that go to support programs such as for those living with HIV/AIDS are now being spent to fund the war. We have to communicate… I support Barack because of his incarnated faith – his faith made alive in the flesh. He reaches across all faith communities and even to those who have no faith at all. He is building a community where everyone has worth. That kind of faith is not easy to find in 2007 and a man like Barack is a rarity.

Of course it is illegal for the head of a church (being a 501c3 “charity”) to endorse a candidate.

Just for clarification and transparancy....”Malik Zulu Shabazz” is actually named Paris Lewis.

I seriously that he actually dug into his own pocket to part with the money necessary to have had his nmae LEGALLY changed.

Paris Lewis is a racist pansy that needs to be ignored....except by his BBF in prison.

Nice work. All of which goes to confirm the suspicions that I (and others) voiced in the previous thread. Unlike our adversaries, most of here have attended Tea Parties. We know from personal experience what kinds of people were there, and why. We also know how the Left operates, from the street level all the way to the White House.

In fairness, a lot of people and groups use the raised fist. Just because someone hoists a clenched fist doesn't mean they're a CommieLib or other Leftist. When I pump my fist in the air at a Ted Nugent show, I'm not calling out to overthrow the Republic.

So who is the guy with the Nazi patches? I’ll bet anything he has something like a “Coexist” bumper sticker on his car.

Maybe if a modest reward were offered to someone to reveal his identity we could find out who he is, and he would become yet another icon of the left.
