During a tearful and passionate speech at his "American Revival" meeting in Salt Lake City on Saturday, Fox News host Glenn Beck revealed that he may be going blind.
During his speech (video below), Beck told the audience, "I can't focus my eyes."
Taking a shot at health care reform, Beck said, "I went to the best doctor I could find, while I could still go to the best doctor I can find."
Beck, 46, says he has been diagnosed with macular dystrophy, and joked that the doctor told him, "You could go blind in the next year . . . or you might not."

It is, my grandfather has glaucoma. It’s all pretty insidious. I wouldn’t wish such things on the worst Demorat I know. I know they’re probably yuking it up on DU right now over this. Good luck Glenn, they’re doing some good things in the field, but stay strong!

I think that with all that Glenn Beck has seen and then to shown us, no one could ever say that he is blind, regardless of whether or not he can actually see. There are many people who can see, but whom are already blind.
Don’t tell Nancy he was crying....I still am so pissed off that he made fun of her crying when he is a blabbering crybaby all the time. Why would he do that?????? Why not make fun of her with something he does not do like the plastic surgery. Then Nancy does not half to call him a hypocrite.
Hopefully he is just exaggerating. Blindness is very rare now a days.
Beck laughs at himself all the time. He has a great sense of humor.
That was my first thought too. He’s at the age when I first needed glasses.
Getting old sucks. But it beats the only alternative.

that being said, although I agree with his politics about 95%, I cannot abide his crybaby ways....he has a good reason to cry about his eyes...but he really needs to get some backbone about everything else and get PISSED OFF and not weep at the drop of a hat....

I was not necessarily being a smartass or unsympathetic to Beck, being I do like him and his message, but I am like you and I suspect Beck is no different, old age is setting in and typically the first thing to go ‘bad’ is the eyesight. ;-)
I watch his show at least three times a week. I like it but sometimes he goes over things many times over. He is really on this history kick lately.
