A coroner's inquest in the fatal Metro Police shooting of a man at a Summerlin Costco store has been postponed, but a new date has not yet been set, according to the Clark County Coroner's Office.
The original coroner's inquest was scheduled for Sept. 3.
Coroner Mike Murphy said the Clark County District Attorney's office asked for the postponement, so the inquest has been put on hold.
"It's not a question of if it's going to be conducted, but when," Murphy said.

WITNESSES?
The LV police got 12 out of 40 people to say they saw him pull a gun.
Coincidentally, those 12 people ‘had’ outstanding traffic warrants. (just kidding, maybe)
I hope it wasn't the "Grace L. Ferguson Storm Door and Megamagnet Company."
Very.
A friend of mine once ordered some incredibly powerful magnets to use in an industrial machine. The magnets are so powerful that they're shipped in wooded boxes substantially larger than the magnets to prevent anything magnetic from getting to close to the magnets while in transit. Well, the receiving people removed the magnet from the wooden packing, whereupon it rocketed toward the steel loading dock ramp and shattered on contact (they're made of very brittle material). The shards were stuck to the ramp so hard, the people couldn't get them off.
“All the video tapes, (which may or may not exist, and may or may not be any good) have been securely locked away in a safe at the Attorney Generals office. (the one who postponed the coroners inquest)”
And in a year’s time they will have gone missing.
Makes sense. They have some of the finest 'post-production' editing equiment there.
They can do all kinds of tricks with video.
Most on that thread thought that was a possibility.
That was definitely the thinking. Or there will be nothing for the lab to recover. Darn magnets!
By the time the get done ‘enhancing’ those tapes I am sure they will show that the victim was kill by a group of strange blue skin aliens while the Cops where busy being the first LVP patrol to land on the moon.
Ok, since I’ve been providing back-story info on Vegad for people, I might as well explain the two newspapers.in Vegas for people not familiar with the situation.
The Las Vegas Review Journal (LVRJ or just “RJ”) is the more pro-liberty, pro-freedom, pro-property paper in Vegas.
The Sun is the other paper in Vegas and it tends to take the pro-union, pro-tax (unless it is a tax on casinos) and pro-Democrat line. I say “tend to” because there are exceptions to this broad classification of the two papers.
The Sun is the paper I would expect to take the side of the LVMPD.
I suspected that as I had run across another article by them on this case and it never mentioned witnesses that disagreed with the PD story
About the only tie Sun will disagree with the government is when Steve Wynn is involved. Then the Sun will take Wynn’s side.
bump that...
if you wait long enough maybe you’ll get lucky with memories faded and defective
you might even lose evidence critical to discerning the truth. /s
if a cop had been shot you can bet the investigation would proceeding at break neck speed
Best guess was that I heard that if they can push it back a few weeks - the result will come out AFTER the November election.
Anyone know just when the LV sheriff’s election is?
The problem with the security cameras in the Costco stores is that they are not really a continuous video. They are frames spaced out about one per second in most of the store. Only those at the front end are continuous.
.
“In another year or so?”

After a few Vegacides...

“if a cop had been shot you can bet the investigation would proceeding at break neck speed”
.
No question!

Wouldn’t it be great if I invested in a grammar checker? LOL
