Ethics panel to charge California Rep. Waters

WASHINGTON (AP) - A House investigative panel has decided to charge Democratic Rep. Maxine Waters of California with ethics violations, raising the possibility of a second high-profile political trial this fall. People familiar with the investigation, who were not authorized to be quoted about unannounced charges, say the allegations could be announced next week. The House ethics committee declined Friday to make any public statement on the matter.
Waters has been under investigation for a possible conflict of interest involving a bank that was seeking federal aid. Her husband owned stock in the bank.

This is either desperation in order to try to gull people into voting for Dems ("we're not ALL corrupt"), or Obama is clearing out the opposition to putting in his personally loyal minions in all the prominent "black" districts in Congress. /wild-assed-guess>

Why is Kerry allowed to be a crook? For parking his boat in a tax-free state? That's just being smart. The lesson from that is that hypocritical DEMs hate taxes just like the rest of us... therefore high taxes need to be exposed and avoided (in this case, Massachusetts should be embarrased most of all). I don't know that he broke a law - just got caught with his loophole open.
