Folks,

He took 51% With a number of candidates and as his video states had better numbers in areas than Dingell and good numbers down river in Monroe, that IMHO that is big. I have a friend in that area and he notes folks are ticked.

I have met Dr. Steele, he is the real deal. I hope we get all of the 29 Doctors Running as Conservatives/ "R's" this fall...

That’s the kind of representation we need.

John Dingell has the support of the Peoples Republic of Ann Arbor, which will be tough for any conservative to over come.

Then join those (if you live in the area) to change one mind @ a time.

I plan too, and I am not even in his district. I heard @ his victory party last night volunteers were showing up from up to 1.5 hrs away....

Regarding Post 21, does Walberg stand a chance of getting his seat back?

I was as surprised as anyone when he lost it in ‘08. Even given the anti-GOP trend, I thought he’d have been safe in that district.

Regarding Post 36, were there a lot of Dems (and Independents) who crossed over and voted in the GOP primary?

Could that be the reason for the disparity in the number and also for the reason why Rick Snyder won the primary?

I was as surprised as anyone when he lost it in ‘08. Even given the anti-GOP trend, I thought he’d have been safe in that district.

He has no friends among the GOP elite. They stripped him of funds after he voted against the bank bailout and called him a lost cause. He lost by 2%.

When he defeated Joe Schwarz in the 06 primary the GOP gave him almost zero support but he still won over the democrat by a fair margin.

In 08 Schwarz was endorsing Marxist Mark Schauer and there was the Obama wave to account for. Even Mark Schauer has said that his own chances of reelection are less than great without Obama on the ticket.

I think Walberg will win by a landslide over Schauer this November. He's shown some real aggression which is what he lacked in 08. Walberg also won in every county in the district on Tuesday.

Schauer just is not well liked in this district. Most of his fundraising is around the fringes of the district or outside the district because he just doesn't have the support here. He doesn't even have town hall meetings anymore because he got caught shipping in support from Detroit and Muskegon.

No way to know for sure, I have two neighbors who voted for Snyder who are Dem's that are fed up with the party. I will be seeing how they evolve when the accusations of shipping jobs over seas starts coming out. They are both in unions and sick of Obama.

Isn’t Dingell about 90 years old? I lived in Michigan in the 70’s and he was my Congressman then.

They are both in unions and sick of Obama.

Just months into the Obama Administration, a friend who does support contract work (GM before the quasi chapter 11) told me story that had me shocked. I quipped I can't believe these union types still support him. His response was what $^$^$ are you talking about. I go to the plants and talk to them, they are livid in fact they are so livid they now make fun of him.

If you get that, that means they have lost all respect for him, that is huge for these blue collar guys and gals, and that was over a year ago now....
