ENGLEWOOD, Colo. (AP) Republican Senate candidate Jane Norton has been criticized throughout her campaign for being too cozy with Arizona Sen. John McCain.
Two days before the contest ends, though, the former Colorado lieutenant governor launched a cross-state sweep promoting her association with McCain, whom she called an "American hero."
McCain told reporters in suburban Denver he came to the state two weeks before his own Republican primary because he wanted to urge Republicans here to choose Norton over Weld County prosecutor Ken Buck.
"We need a lot of help right now," McCain said, talking about Republicans in the Senate.

A lot of help to do what, McCain...accomplish your sick, un-American, twisted, progressive, vichy RINO agenda?!
McCain “needs a lot of help” in the U.S. Senate.
“Help” to do what...he won’t say out loud.
FUJM!
Nortron’s sleazy campaign adds have pretty much done her in.
Now that I know that McKennedy is campaigning for her, heck, I’ll even campaign for whatever democRAT is running - should this worthless idiot actually get the nomination.
Masybe he can get help from his narco Islamist pals among the albanians.

Looks like the GOP is becoming the Grand Old RINO party.
RINOS acting conservative to reel in the suckers.
Real conservatives do not bring in McCain
Well, THAT settles it. NO TO NORTON. NO TO MORE RINOS.
He is a RINO
Diod Palin endorse this RINO too?
Anyone know who is winning in the polls?
The last I heard, each was claiming to be several points ahead of the other.
Who cares if she did? You don't support her anyway.
BTW - she didn't.
Isn’t Buck the one who attacked tea partiers on a live mike?
Yep; and bear in mind that the story is interesting on two more levels: The first is that in Colorado, the term "tea partier" can refer to different groups who hate each other's guts. The second is that some people who I thought were in the faction he was dissing are still foaming-at-the-mouth supporters.
Perusing threads like this reminds me why we have a socialist congress and president. The future of our grandchildren depends on getting republicans elected and changing the party from the inside. “Teaching them a lesson” is costing our progeny TRILLIONS. To hear that people on this thread would support a democrat over Norton is a bit heartbreaking. I agree that we need to get the republican party to turn right, but it just boggles my mind that people can look at what we have now and not want ANYTHING BUT A DEMOCRAT!
Merely because someone has an "R" after their name does not mean that he/she is actually a Republican. Or even a republican.
She praised her...

>>> heck, Ill even campaign for whatever democRAT is running
Campaign harder then these threads already do ? That would be something.
I get it, I really do. I sometimes don't know which is worse. At least the democrats don't pretend to be our friends. But I don't know how many more years our country can survive being run by these socialists while we teach RINOs a lesson. I am usually extremely optimistic about the survivability of America, but I honestly don't know how much more damage the country can take before it is irrevocably changed.
Can you imagine how out of step one would have to be to back this man for re-election? Even during his campaign, he breaks away to commit further subterfuge.
And yet, the brightest woman in the land, remains steadfastly a supporter. What is her agenda anyway?
Nice one!
But I don't know how many more years our country can survive being run by these socialists while we teach RINOs a lesson.
They aren't learning a blinking thing, IMHO.
I am usually extremely optimistic about the survivability of America, but I honestly don't know how much more damage the country can take before it is irrevocably changed.
Too late. I would argue that the country changed irrevocably in the 30's with FDR, and continued to slide into the cesspool of socialism under LBJ.
I am starting to believe that McNuts gets a thrill out of that sort of thing. Either that, or his handlers are asleep at the switch.
I’m just sorry that Palin ever hitched her wagon to this man.
I was all for it in 2008. Now she’s soiled herself. He has at least partially turned another one.
If she had taken a pass on running with him, she would have served out a full one or two terms in office. McCain would have likely been rousted out of office, and his influence on people like her would have been severely limited.
Now he’s looking like he’ll return to the Senate, return to carrying enough weight to turn others...
It’s just a sad situation.
Well, this should help the Colorado Republican primary voters make a clear choice in this primary.
Jane Norton is clearly NOT the better choice.
Don't buy it. Don't be discouraged. You're right.
You already know this, but you keep blathering the same nonsense for some unknown reason.
When you endorse people, you indicate that you agree with their politics. Sorry you didn’t know that.
But then you already know this, but you keep blathering the same nonsense for some unknown reason.
Just curious..., do you support McCain in the Primary against Hayworth?
Since the visit last winter when she did endorse McCain, she has not appeared with him again. She has been to AZ and appeared with Jan Brewer, but not with McCain.
Endorsements do not necessarily indicate that you agree with someone's politics. An endorsement may mean you agree with their current opponent(s) less. Or it may be repayment of a debt.
But then you already know this, ...
I do support JD Hayworth in the primary against McCain.
Why? The person you support has endorsed John McCain. Don’t you trust her over your own less knowledgeable views on the matter?
If you fail to think she is wrong here, why would you side with Hayworth over her endorsement of McCain?
You’re defending a woman you know to be terribly wrong on this matter.
I don’t see much honesty here.
I've not heard of any Palin radio spot that mentions JD Hayworth.
Palin has promised to support Hayworth in the general election if he defeats McCain in the primary.
And you have the nerve to post this, after your hilarious offering in 36? Wow.
McCain and J.D. Hayworth are the two top candidates to represent the Republican part in a few days, and yet you resort to saying she has not mentioned Hayworth by name so I am being misleading by saying she supports McCain over Hayworth.
You’re a lying asshole. Yes, big whopping deal. She will support Hayworth in the general after making sure he won’t be the Republican nominee in the General.
Have you no shame? The answer is a resounding no, and I’m providing it since you obviously don’t have to tools to work up the correct answer.
Find that out before you accuse someone else of lying.
Honest to God, you are a moron.
Those spots hawk McCain, when there is another man out there who is a 97.6% Conservative according to the American Conservative Union.
No J.D. had not declared yet, but he was expected to at any moment. None the less, the brightest woman in the nation couldn’t wait a few more days. She endorsed McCain. That endorsement still stands. That radio spot is still hawking McCain over Hayworth.
Only two people with a chance are running ace. Who is that spot hawking McCain over at this point, of not Hayworth?
You’re logic trail is looking like a pretzel. Good luck...
Thanks for trying, just a little bit, to move to the honest side.
I have been honest throughout you dip-stick.
Palin has not withdrawn her endorsement of McCain has she.
Palin spots are still being aired in Arizona. Those spots are in support of the worst political figure in our party, and you think Palin deserves a pass on the matter.
HELL NO!
If she can allow her position to be used like this, why should I consider her to be a great leader of Conservatism?
Fail!
And then what?
The Republicans won in 2000 and 2004, and then they mostly devolved into Democrat Lite statist RINOs.
I see no sign that they won't do the same next time.
And I have no intention of playing the political role of battered stay-at-home spouse again.
Sadly, majority Rs over Ds don’t translate to Cs over Ls.
We frequently have a majority of Republicans in Congress, but hardly ever have a majority of Conservatives.
We simply cannot continue to try to win with a majority of Liberals in Congress.
” I’ve not heard of any Palin radio spot that mentions JD Hayworth.”
Then...
1) You don’t listen to the radio
2) You don’t live in Arizona
I pretty much accepted those aspects of this person. I thought Hayworth was mentioned by name, but had no way of knowing for sure. Thanks for the confirmation.
