I listened to the clip of Kingston's appearance on Bill Maher from 8/7/2009 with Darrell Isssa and Arianna Huffington.
At 6:10 of the clip the exchange begins and lasts about a minute. Maher reads a portion of Sarah Palin's facebook post on Death Panels and invites Kingston to comment on it:
Palin's facebook excerpt:
"The America I know and love is not one in which my parents or my baby with Down Syndrome will have to stand in front of Obama’s “death panel” so his bureaucrats can decide, based on a subjective judgment of their “level of productivity in society,” whether they are worthy of health care. Such a system is downright evil."
Not only does Kingston agree with Maher on the "death panels", he compares Sarah Palin to the "pink ladies of the left"!:
Kingston:
"I can't believe someone in politics would use a 'scare tactic'. I mean....You know. What did we hear from the pink ladies in the left? "Bush lied...Bush lied". What kind of scare tactics were there? I agree. It (the reference to "death panels") is rhetorical. It's a scare tactic. There is no doubt about it."
Going on this trashy show and attempting in his hamhanded fashion to throw Palin under the bus to curry favor with the odious Bill Maher reminded me of Mitt Romney throwing Reagan under the bus ("I am not trying to return to Reagan/Bush") in front of Ted Kennedy during their debate in 1994.
It figures. Kingston was Romney's Georgia Chair in 2008.
(BTW, I refuse to post a link to Maher's nasty show. It is on You Tube. If anyone can crop just the death panel segment and link it from 6:10 to 7:10, this would substantiate the transcript I prepared.)
Kingston says nothing. Gutless. He sickens me more than Maher.
I listened to a little of it, but it is so sickening (It's Maher, after all) anyone who listens to it would be well advised to use caution.
Both Issa and Kingston look awful. But Kingston comes off worse. Issa refused to defend Palin but he also refused to condemn her. That suggests he is a lot smarter than Kingston, even if he is not much more courageous.

Why would any self-respecting individual go on Maher’s show? The guy is a complete liberal hack, and not the most entertaining celebrity around.

It's even worse than that. At least with a real "death panel" you might have a chance to beg for mercy. Instead it will be a strictly bureaucratic denial of any requests for treatment. Imagine Carol from Little Britain at your doctor's office handling treatment requests.

Maher USED to be a fair to middlin’ comedian.
However, I noticed that during his routines he seemed to have an intense hatred of his dad when he tried to do one of those “common ground” bits. It didn't get a laugh as I recall. Sort of like when Andy Kaufman would do something unfunny just to goof on the audience.
Didja ever notice that when Leftist comedians go political, they lose their humor? They keep trying, but they always fail. It's known as “The Franken Syndrome.”
Anyway, Maher is a total disaster as a political oracle.
He's wrong almost 100% of the time and he smirks as if Einstein was a mentally challenged kid that he would've made fun of in grade school compared to Maher’s 200 story tall genius. His arrogance makes Obama look humble.

Obama has already revealed that there will be no humanity involved in decisions at a Townhall meeting. His callous answers to a woman whose aged mother had heart surgery was telling.

I would beg to know how much time he has actually spent in the South. (I've lived in the North and I can say it is no intellectual oasis)
Maher thinks most people are worthless, including those that watch his silly show. His transparency gives many clues about how our liberal leadership thinks and reasons.
Don't believe the bullshit of the palin sycophants. Issa and Kingston appear for almost 40 minutes in an INCREDIBLY hostile environment to advocate AGAINST Obama and his policies.
Bill Maher predictably tries to bring Sarah Palin into the debate and neither Kingston nor Issa bite - Palin's not their concern, she's not whey they're there, and it's not the place to defend her.
If the palin sycophants don't like Mr. Mean Maher, maybe Palin can go on the show and defend herself - you betcha!
Otherwise, I wonder if they'll be having some cheese the WHINE.
