It was something he certainly didn't have to do. But he did it anyway. President Obama stepped into the fray of the single most divisive issue pertaining to terrorism, healing of hurt, religious disagreement, civil liberties, political fracturing, racism, and national security all in one step.

The name already chosen for the Mosque, “Cordoba,” tells us everything we need to know. It is a clear and distinct reference to the conquest of Spain by Islam. Cordoba was captured in 711 AD. By 717 the conquest of the Spanish peninsula was nearly complete and Cordoba was declared the capital of a new Arabic nation, Al-Andalus, in 717. By 756 Spain was entirely ruled by Islam.
It took them less than a decade to establish a foothold. Fifty years to conquer all of Hispania. Spain was not free of Islamic rule until Granada was recaptured in 1492.
Do the math folks. It took nearly EIGHT CENTURIES to wrest Spain away from the Muslims. So now we figure one little mosque on the island of Manhattan is no big deal. A simple exercise in religious freedom.
Merely the name of the mosque indicates its intended purpose. The Muslims know their history. Do we?

Not only sickening but a more and more danger to the American way of life the longer he is in office. He shows compassion for the muslims but has never shown compassion for America. He has stated that the muslim call to prayer is a beautiful thing. He has never made this statement about anything American. The National Anthem, the American Flag, the pledge to that flag, nothing. As President, or any other time in his life, he has never shown any love whatso ever for our country.
I’d like to see his grades from school. Why do you suppose we’ve never seen them-? I thought he was supposed to be bright-!
Once they build this pile of garbage, I wonder how long before they declare it a “holy city”, demand sharia law, and tear it apart like they did in Jerusalem?

I still believe that the problem goes all the way back to the vetting process. Any other man with “shady” associations would have never gotten into the office. I would like to go after those people that turned a blind eye to the process.

Our problem is that we do not even know our own history and of how we became a free nation, and of why it is imperative that we practice the vigilance necessary to keep that freedom. Of course, all that takes self-discipline and self-reliance which seems to be in short supply among too many of our citizens these days. I have my own ideas about those who are supporting the building of this Mosque near Ground Zero. One day they will meet their maker and be judged for how they used the power given to them on this earth.
Obama’s real thoughts are:
“On 911 the muslims showed you Americans who’s boss. And with this mosque they will take one more step toward conquering you.”
But he doesn’t have the cohones to say it.
The press only gets to see transcripts from republicans.
I think we can be pretty sure how this d&*khead did in school- otherwise his grades would have been first page, above the fold.
I think people have forgotten what 9/11 looked like and need a reminder.
