CNN retracts blast against officer challenging Obama Says 'bigots,' 'racists,' 'freaks' intended to criticize 'birthers' generally

CNN, which became one of the first mainstream networks to put the absence of publicly available documentation for Barack Obama's presidential eligibility in prime time, has issued a retraction for publicly calling an officer challenging Obama's eligibility "racist."

The original accusation and the retraction both came from one of the "experts" CNN offered on the case of Lt. Col. Terrence Lakin, who faces a court-martial in a few weeks for refusing to deploy because the president refused to document his eligibility to be commander-in-chief.

Why at this this is CNN retracting a statement from one of their “ experts “ who was criticizing birthers and goes on to boast that they were one of the first main stream media outlets to bring to the public’s attention of Obama’s eligibility problem ?
Guess they have been getting the true news from the Globe magazine.

“In the course of that report, I made the statement that a lot of the birthers are bigots and racists and there was a picture of Lakin behind me. I didn’t mean to suggest that he was a bigot and a racist. I was just talking more generally.”

-Jeffrey Toobin, CNN Legal Analyst

Generally speaking, this is not much of a retraction. How about ... ‘I said birthers are racist, bigots and I was wrong. I shouldn’t have said that.’

Yeah, there is a lot of back tracking on statements lately. as in, they didn’t really meant what they said.

What’s the deal with this anyway? They think by saying “sorry”, they’ll be able to sell more “Watch it Grow!” weenier pill commercials?

CNN slings crap everywhere—when did this matter to them?

Toobin's baby mama (not his wife) Casey Greenfield.

One of the media elite’s most whispered-about scandals went public when married CNN correspondent Jeffrey Toobin squared off with a woman who says he’s the father of her baby. Yale-educated lawyer Casey Greenfield — the daughter of eminent CBS News analyst Jeff Greenfield — had a chilly faceoff with Toobin in Manhattan Family Court.

I didn't have a chance to ask it on another thread, so if you'll give me the opportunity for a slightly tangential query:

The WND article mentions two different cases in which sanctions were threatened against attorneys pursuing this issue -- and which the judges backed off when the attorney threatened to require discovery of "pertinent facts" (apparently there is precedent).

My question is: why hasn't Orly Taitz pursued this particular avenue when she was slapped with sanctions? Yes, I can anticipate the usual responses, but I would think that there is someone close to her that would have suggested it by now.

Or was she sanctioned for outrageous behavior over and above simply pursuing this issue?

Lakin's civilian attorney essentially threatened CNN with a defamation suit.

They quickly caved.

Mr. Judgmental wanted his mistress to have an abortion.

“In 2008, when Greenfield became pregnant, and when she told Toobin the news, he offered her “money if she’d have an abortion,” says a source. He also allegedly offered to pay for her to have another child later via a sperm donor.

“When Casey wouldn’t have an abortion, Jeff told her she was going to regret it, that she shouldn’t expect any help from him,” claims another source.

Greenfield underwent a risky DNA test while pregnant, but Toobin didn’t provide his sample and stopped talking to her, according to sources. On the day she gave birth, Greenfield e-mailed Toobin, inviting him to meet his son, Rory. A source says Toobin didn’t reply.

Toobin ultimately cooperated with a DNA test that proved he was Rory’s dad. In February, a Manhattan Family Court judge ordered him to pay child support. When he refused to pay the full amount, say sources, Greenfield’s lawyer threatened to notify his employers and garnish his wages; Toobin then paid up.

Toobin now sees the 13-month-old lookalike heir. “His wife, Amy, comes with them to the park,” says a source. He’s said to have asked to spend every other weekend with Rory.”

I’d like to know what makes this person on “expert” on this. I’d like to give him a basic comprehension test on the facts regarding Obama’s eligibility and see if he can even PASS a test on basic facts.

My guess is not.

But he’s going to get an education very soon, Lord willing. Keep Lakin’s defense in your prayers - that he would have wisdom, courage, and efficiency in this next week. Also pray that all the necessary technology would function well for them so evidence can be gathered and prepared without hassle.

CNN, as a whole, is looking nervous lately. Anyone else notice? Wolf interviewed Tom Delay yesterday and was almost happy, so it seemed, that he was exonerated of the federal charges. It’s like the kid that is about to be confronted for stealing a candy bar that is still in his hand.

Life, like truth, is apparently disposable to this guy.

Again, I’d like to know what qualifies him to be an “expert” on this issue. I bet I could beat him in a debate hands-down, and I’m not even that quick on my feet.

It’s another project I hope to work on after I get some urgent business done this week, but when lawyers begin to realize the degree of illegal concealment of facts that has gone on in the reporting about Obama’s eligibility, there should be threats of criminal investigations popping up all over the place.

Right here, right now Chiyome Fukino should be on trial for illegal concealment of critical facts because during and after the election season she hid the HDOH Administrative Rules which were required to be public at all times. That’s just the BEGINNING of what she has concealed. The Federal General False Statement Act (18 U.S.C 1001) totally blasts everything she and her office have done. (See description of that law beginning on p 15 at at http://www.fas.org/sgp/crs/misc/98-808.pdf )

Any minute Rush and the rest of the conservatives talking bobbleheads will foolow the Globe’s lead and stop fearing the leftists and report this issue.

On second, none of them have the guts.
