I’m sure “some” of the “birthers” ARE racists. “Some” in Holder’s DOJ are racists. “Some” in the democrat party are racists. “Some” people everywhere are racists.

If Toobin fathered the kid and then denies it, would it be possible to see the birth certificate - or would that make the inquiry racist bigotry.

The WND article mentions two different cases in which sanctions were threatened against attorneys pursuing this issue -- and which the judges backed off when the attorney threatened to require discovery of "pertinent facts" (apparently there is precedent).

As Orly's case demonstrates, the imposition of sanctions does not open the door for discovery. Despite what WND says.

My question is: why hasn't Orly Taitz pursued this particular avenue when she was slapped with sanctions?

In all three cases where sanctions have been threatened, the same procedure is followed. The judge informs counsel that he thinks sanctionable behavior may have occurred, and he gives counsel 14 days to respond and say why sanctions should NOT be imposed.

In one of the cases, the judge decided after receiving the response not to issue any sanctions. In another case, the judge decided not to issue any *monetary* sanctions, but instead issued a formal reprimand from the bench. And in Orly's case, the judge decided to issue sanctions.

Incidentally, in the middle case (Hollister), the judge's order makes it fairly clear that he thought attorney Hemenway was duped by Phil Berg, and didn't impose monetary sanctions against Hemenway for that reason. Berg hadn't gotten himself admitted pro hac vice to the court, so the judge couldn't sanction Berg, although the order again makes it clear the judge really wanted to sanction Berg.

What’s the deal with this anyway? They think by saying “sorry”, they’ll be able to sell more “Watch it Grow!” weenier pill commercials?
Lakin’s civilian attorney essentially threatened CNN with a defamation suit.

They quickly caved.

With the articles the Globe ran about the Prez’s lack of eligibility, you would think the Regime would sue or threaten to sue and walk away with a “bundle” of money, but they didn’t.

Movie stars have sued and won big.

Gee, I wonder what that means....?

What a sleazeball this Toobin is: so typical of the leftist pseudo-intellectuals that are hired by leftist media outlets to say what they are told to by their billionaire bosses. Toobin is just a useful mouthpiece for Ted Turner at CNN, doing his best to come to the rescue of the Obama presidency by defaming Lt. Col. Lakin.

BTW, believe it or not, Toobin was in the same Law School discussion group at Harvard as was none other than Elena Kagan and claimed that he didn't have an idea as to where she was politically. At least he's consistent; he has no reluctance to lie when it serves the interests of the billionaires whose puppet he is, just as he had no reluctance to lie in the paternity suit against him.

Obviously, this half-hearted "retraction" was likely precipitated by a threat of a defamation suit by Lt. Col. Lakin's people.

Hmm. Interesting detail. I’m beginning to think Harvard and Columbia are going to come out of this coup looking like my last BM once we finally get to the bottom of this (no pun intended) - and this is spoken by somebody experiencing projectile diarrhea. lol

From the Wikipedia article on Jeffrey Toobin: "Toobin is a longtime friend of Supreme Court justice Elena Kagan, having met her while the two were students at Harvard Law School."

From the Wikipedia article on Elena Kagan: "Friend Jeffrey Toobin recalled Kagan at Harvard Law School 'stood out from the start as one with a formidable mind. She's good with people. At the time the law school was a politically charged and divisive place. She navigated the factions with ease and won the respect of everyone.'"

Add to that the fact that Toobin is the author of a book on the Supreme Court ("The Nine"), giving him scholarly credentials on the subject among the leftist elitist set, and one may get the idea that Toobin was one of the major players in promoting her nomination and confirmation to the SCOTUS.

Kagan is hardly a heavyweight. She will have a nervous breakdown and start gay ass grabbing before very long, and will have to resign as a justice.

Sometimes discretion is the better part of valor.

I do wonder, though, if there is a document dump coming zerO’s way. That is how the owners slapped Algore down, isn’t it? Maybe they want to be certain he doesn’t run in 2012 and they need time to build up whomever is chosen to run in his stead. if so, I would guess sometime after the mid-terms, but before New Year.

Lay with dogs you catch fleas. In his case a rather large neonatal flea. Any genetic test ordered?

Looks like the whole love child episode has coverted Greenfield to a conservative view.
She ow seems to know exactly what Obama represents as a threat to America.

She is a beautuful lady who obviously made a very bad mistake with this jerk off Toobin.

"This *is* CNN" ping:
CNN, which became one of the first mainstream networks to put the absence of publicly available documentation for Barack Obama's presidential eligibility in prime time, has issued a retraction for publicly calling an officer challenging Obama's eligibility "racist." The original accusation and the retraction both came from one of the "experts" CNN offered on the case of Lt. Col. Terrence Lakin, who faces a court-martial in a few weeks for refusing to deploy because the president refused to document his eligibility to be commander-in-chief.
Thanks justiceseeker93.

Yeah... that is no retraction - it’s not even a decent clarification.
CNN is toast if they don’t do better than this. Get out the butter and jam, there’s a toast bonanza fixin’ to pop up.

When I moved from Washington state to Texas, I had trouble locating the birth cert. for one of my sons and could not enroll him in public school without it.
Just sayin....
