Louisville radio had a report on the bedbug infestation of the main library today and mentioned that they were epidemic along the eastern seacoast.....

Which reminded me of the tented White House......Pictured the Ibamas with bed bugs.....Moochelle running to Spain, daughter being sent to camp, and “I” going to Chicago....all spreading the little critters with them.....

Bedbugs have no respect!

I am a huge DDT fan. And very angry at the millions of deaths due to the ban in 3rd world countries.

Bring back DDT!

It works and human lives are at stake.

They’re being disingenuous in the article. There is pesticide that will work, it’s called propoxur and the state of Ohio tried to get permission to use it.

Naturally, EPA denied the request.

Head lice are back too.

At her Berkeley, California headlice-removal salon Catcher’s Nitz, registered nurse Sylvia Cummings-Umegboh seats clients in brightly illuminated barbershop chairs, sections their hair beautician-style, affixes a magnifying-glass headgear over her eyes, then painstakingly snares ant-sized lice and their gluey poppyseed-sized eggs, known as nits, with a long-toothed stainless-steel Nit-Free Terminator Comb, flicking them into Barbicide-treated trays from which they can’t escape.

Recently spent a night at a high end hotel near the airport in Montreal. With all the bed bug stuff going on I pulled back the sheets on the bed to check out the linen. No bed bugs in evidence but linen appeared slept in. Called the front desk and they said room service would be by shortly. Left for dinner and came back a couple of hours later, the pillow cases had been replaced but the linens appeared much the same. Bottom line, I spent the night because I had an early AM departure ... and registered a complaint with the hotel, on the Internet, upon returning home. The hotel, Hampton Inn, gave me a complete credit for the night with thanks for my input. I've always had a positive experience in my past dealings with Hampton Inn and this was no exception. They did the right thing ...

Heard of a company where you can have lice or crabs or bed bugs delivered to your home via the U.S. mail.
Then if you care to leave the little critters at say your mother in laws couch or toilet seat only U are in the know.
I’m hooping that b the case in N.Y. city where bed bugs were found in the Abercrombie & Fitch and Victoria Secret store.
I can see some ugly fat N.O.W. Troll doing victoria Secret.

Low-cost, low-tech solution here. Some Rutgers students found a way to lure and trap bedbugs using dry ice to simulate animal respiration.
