playing 18 holes at the chi-chi Vineyard Golf Club
What exactly does "chi-chi" mean? I'm a little behind on the latest jive talk of the rich and famous. If I'm President Obama, I think I'd just settle for a quick game of putt-putt right now. Anyway, I hope a good time was had by all.

President Obama made the most of his first day of vacation, playing 18 holes at the chi-chi Vineyard Golf Club after taking daughters Sasha and Malia book shopping in Vineyard Haven. Nero played the harp while Rome burned, Zero "Dimples" Obama fiddles around on the links.

I heard the “George Bush do you missed me yet?” tshirts were big sellers on the vineyard right now. Wonder if he has seen one?

I did a google search and found this (at the bottom)....man they protect him from everything....is it coincident that Republicans are said to have taken more vacations. The reason that President Bush II took so much vacation is because he had a ranch in Texas that he went to during the month of August. Reagan had a ranch in California that he would ride horses and clear brush. The Obama’s did not have that type of vacation house to go to and have to rely on vacations in various places as opposed to one destination. Perhaps he needs to purchase some kind of vacation place where he can spend time just there.
Q: Has President Obama taken more vacation time than his predecessors?
A: According to one count, Presidents Ronald Reagan, George H.W. Bush and George W. Bush spent more time on “vacation” during their first year than President Obama did. Presidents Jimmy Carter and Bill Clinton spent less time on “vacation.”

It looks like a cutesy version of “chic” to me.

Obama is just trying to play a round of golf for each 100,000 people that loose their job each week.
He is doing it for them.

While in the neighborhood, I wonder if the Kenyan will visit his Aunt Onyango. Or is that not considered chi-chi.

Does it strike anyone else that the Obamas to some extent vacation separately even when they’re staying together? Rather than engaging in family activities, he leave the wife and kids behind for many hours just about every day to go off and play golf (or go off and play basketball or work out...). It’s kind of sad that his family, with young kids, seems to be such a low priority on his time schedule. They’re only going to be so young once.
