Regular pilot quits suddenly. The emergency beacon is disabled. The warning signal reporting on terrain is not turned on.

Someone seriously ‘adjusted’ that aircraft.

Someone thinks FBI agents did those things? Why would they?

Because of the vastness a lot of folks travel Alaska in small planes and the weather can change really quickly. Not the safest bet.

seems like someone is using a shotgun approach and hoping to hit our Sarah. the third small plane down would almost confirm it.

please, anyone reading this that has her ear... please remind her that she has been pissing off the left and the right (please, keep it up). trust NO ONE. do not tell anyone your travel plans, if you can avoid it. treat them like state secrets use to be treated.

I spent time in 1962 - 1963 at the USAF Radar Site at King Salmon.

Google Maps:  King Salmon, AK

A Beaver on floats is by FAR my favorite bush plane, and I've never even flown on one. May not be the most practical, and expensive, but they are pretty. Few things sound as appealing as that radial engine flying by.

LOL Now that you mention it, I have developed a new love for peanut butter. Great calories on hunting trips, and out of nowhere I have discovered that toasted PB English muffins are a delicacy.

A Beaver on floats is an excellent airplane.

For hauling a bunch of people and/or stuff to smaller lakes, it is excellent.

IMHO

Some day when I’ve made my millions, I’d love to own one! ;-)

You can fit a small wheeler inside too, if you take the wheels off. Next spring I’ll probably go for another ride in a Widgeon for my bear hunt, but possibly a Beaver. The Widgeon is a sharp looking plane also.
