Boxer drops into dead heat with Fiorina in Rasmussen poll
hotair.com ^ | Ed Morrissey

Posted on 08/26/2010 1:37:21 PM PDT by Justaham

You’ll remember that Rasmussen has actually been the good news poll for Barbara Boxer in her re-election campaign. The last Field Poll showed her trailing Carly Fiorina, and so did Survey USA, while Rasmussen at the same time had her up five points, 45/40. Now her Rasmussen firewall shows signs of crumbling as it has her lead down to a single point, 44/43:

Democratic incumbent Barbara Boxer and her Republican challenger Carly Fiorina are now essentially tied in California’s U.S. Senate race, moving the state from Leans Democratic to a Toss-Up in the Rasmussen ReportsElection 2010 Senate Balance of Power rankings. The latest Rasmussen Reports telephone survey of Likely Voters in California shows Boxer with 44% support, while Fiorina picks up 43% of the vote. Five percent (5%) like another candidate in the race, and eight percent (8%) are undecided.

Earlier this month, Boxer held a five-point lead, 45% to 40%, and she was ahead 49% to 42% in July. Since February, Boxer’s support has ranged from 42% to 49%. In those same surveys, Fiorina, former CEO of Hewlett-Packard, has earned 38% to 43% of the vote.

Couple of thoughts here:

1) This is still California we are talking about They came close to electing a republican with Awnoldddd, but he is RINO

2) While it is not Chicago there is till the cheating factor we need to worry about.

3) Voter complacency: 2-5 percent lead in the polls is not enought to over come the cheating factor, but any thing over 7 percent will lead to complacency.

The only thing Boxer has going for her is Barack Obama, oddly enough. Despite opposition to his one big legislative victory and dissatisfaction with the results of Obamanomics, he gets a 55/43 approval rating among California’s voters.
Is that sick, or what?

Not gonna happen.

Millions of registered and voting illegal aliens will give Boxer a comfortable win.

Yep - I’ll never forget ‘92, the first year the beeotch ran for the U.S. Senate. Days before the election, Boxer’s smear machine, headed up by the odious Bob Mulholland, threw out the story about Bruce Herschenson being seen leaving a strip club. He didn’t have time to recover, and Box-O-Rocks has been squatting in the Senate ever since :-(

That headline can generate real excitment if you miss the word “INTO” as you read it.

Dang...thought the headline read “Boxer drops dead in the heat”...it has been toasty in Kallie-fornia the past couple weeks. ******************** LOL! I had the same reaction. Wishful thinking I guess, especially after Pelosi was jinxed by one of her own lackeys.

You guys are better than I am. I thought it meant a prize-fighter. You know. Someone who actually matters in American society.

she sided with the EPA on denying water to the Central Valley putting 10s of thousands out of work

Not to mention putting orchards out of life. Traveling down Interstate 5 is depressing - empty fields, dead fruit/nut trees.

Dream on folks. Unless Boxer is down close to 10 points the day before the election, she is a shoo in.

Even down by 5 she will win. The illegal vote in CA is off the charts. Add Democrat fraud and it will be nearly impossible for Boxer to lose.

And *if* Boxer garners 2% less than Fiorina in the actual vote then Democrats will recount and discover misplaced ballots until she wins.

You can make book on it, they are not giving up that seat. They know no matter how much they cheat, the Republicans in the Senate will whine and then grab their ankles. They will never shut down the Senate in response to Dem fraud, or refuse to seat her.

Yeah, I curl my lip and snarl a lot watching the weather reports. Constantly, the weather up north of us is much much better.

The endless problem in CA is it is an expensive media market because it is so big. Dems get endless money from Hollywood, unions, fraud, libs, etc.

Any Repub has to have tons of money to compete. Maybe Silicon Valley/Tech is FINALLY waking up to how evil this lib garbage is.

You will hear my victory cries from coast to coast.
