Should Americans Agree To Live Under Sharia Law, In Order To Help US Troops in Afghanistan?

Posted on 09/11/2010 9:31:30 AM PDT by pinochet

Prohibitions against desecration of the Koran, is part of Islamic Sharia law. American law and the US Constitution, does not forbid desecration of the Koran, because the Founding Fathers did not establish America to be a Muslim nation. But the American government and the entire US political and military establishment, forced an American Christian clergyman to submit to Islamic Sharia law. I used to think that the US military was established to defend the US Constitution. Silly me. Winning the war is more important than protecting American freedoms, and we need to get rid of offensive parts of the contitution, such as the first ammendment right to free speech, free expression, and religious freedom.

This new realism has given me a great idea on how we can be more effective in winning the hearts and minds of the Afghani people, and make life for our boys easier in Afghanistan. How about putting Burkhas on American women. We can start with America's two most powerful women, Hillary Clinton and Michelle Obama. We can then put Madonna and Paris Hilton in Burkhas, and continue until every woman in America is covered up. I must admit that there is an upside to such a policy. We will never have to look at Helen Thomas' face again. The Afghani people will just love us, if they discover that Americans are just as capable of being backward barbarians like themselves.

Since not too many people give a damn about the hard-won freedoms that America obtained from England in 1776, America may as well decide to go back to having a King. At present, England has a queen, so that is not possible. But America could beg King Abdullah of Saudi Arabia, for him to accept Americans as his subjects. Americans will learn how to bow to their new Saudi King, just like our figurehead leader, Obama. All hail the King. King Abdullah, the new King of America.

Poor George Washington. Poor Thomas Jefferson. Poor Patrick Henry. I wonder how many times they turned in their graves, over the past 10 days.

Soldiers in the military are prohibited to spread the Gospel of Christ if they are Christians. We are already under Sharia law we just don’t know it...

Man, I agree with you. Capitulation in the name of "getting along" is disgraceful and cowardly.

I have been shaking my head in amazement at the number of people that are willing to fight liberalism - as long as no one gets hurt.

I don't want to "win their hearts", I think we should continue to kick their asses.

We have our own laws - the Constitution. The so-called "sharia law" is nothing but radical islam.

When someone's wayward teenager shoplifts a CD and they "sharia law" says to cut their hand off, then we'll see how much people love "sharia law".

Sharia law is the islamic version of "Rules for Radicals", and any idiot that would give up American law and the Constitution deserves what s/he gets.

As a retired military officer, I will tell you that what you said is 100% true.

doesn’t a congress and administration that keeps surrendering make it harder for troops to win a war

Let someone come to my door and tell me that I am now under Sharia Law.

His life expectancy will suddenly drop to Zero.

America will never recover from all this insanity except for complete revolution and restoration of the Constitution. Those that have conspired to destroy America must be severely punished.

Thanks for your thoughts. I felt the same way, and posted my own blog post on the same subject. I can’t remember ever being so embarrased for the leadership of our country as I have been watching even people I somewhat admire like General Petraeus surrendering our freedom to the terrorists.

Tell the Muslim’s to ‘shove it’. They have a contribution of zero to the world today.

Opposition to burning the Koran shouldn’t come from fear or retribution. It should come from burning books being against American ideals. We believe in the marketplace of ideas and the best ideas winning out. We don’t have to censor to win because we are right.

Do you really think Thomas Jefferson would be in favor of burning books?

The President, The Secretary of State, top Generals, and the media worldwide all went into a tizzy because some no name pastor in Florida simply threatened to burn Korans. Warnings to American Embassies worldwide, the FBI sent by the President to intimidate the pastor, media hand-wringing 24/7 ... and why?

Because all of them know there are million upon millions of Muslims worldwide, many living in “western” countries, that will will respond with violence to any perceived disrespect, whether it be a cartoon in a newspaper, or some anonymous person standing in their yard.

Therefore it follows that if we all grow beards, bow to Mecca 5 times a day, put our women in burquas, stone to death the homosexuals and any women that misbehave, we will get along swimmingly with the Muslim world and won’t have to worry about “their” violent responses ...

Private displays of resistance to Islamic culturalization in America by private citizens could lead to hostility being shown to our GIs that were asked to visit Afghanistan.

It could lead to hostility with some elements of Afghan society, and even lead to our soldiers being forced to start carrying guns and conducting themselves in a tactical manner, almost as if they were in a war.

“…Winning the war is more important than protecting American freedoms…”

They are one in the same; don’t bother with one if you cannot do the other; snd guess they have now done that with America’s borders, language and culture.

…the problem is no clear national strategy and goals, government education and a political class which believes they are exempt…and so far they have been correct…just look at Korea, Vietnam and now Afghanistan and pretty much the Middle East; the multitudes of enemies within pretend it’s everything else except the empirical facts and claiming it’s all about how the offended feeelllll and just wanting it all to look good and them to be liked. I can sum up failure for these types in one word: McCain

My copy of the Constitution does not say you have a right to free speech, as long as it doesn't insult someone else!

Probably not as a general proposition. Considering the fun he had with Muslims during his administration, he might consider an exception for the Koran.

But he would be four-square against any prohibition of burning books, especially if done as a form of protest.
