I had already forgotten about what was going on yesterday with the FReeper I respect a lot (She's a legend, no sarcasm). We had a disagreement. She was not mean to me in any way, I thought (so I don't know how I got pinged to your post). So there were tough words between FReepers. So the heck what? It's not like that ever happens on FR! /s

Reality only bites if you refuse to face it squarely. That's what's wrong with the US. We're not confronting reality, where it comes to Islam.
Islam is not "just like", or "equal to", or "on a par with" other religions. It stands alone among the world's religions, as being the only one (that I know of) that actually COMMANDS its adherents to subjugate or kill anyone who isn't a believer.
It's time that Americans confronted what most of us here have soberly acknowledged for over a decade, and that is, Islam has forfeited its right to even be called a religion, due to its inherent violent dogma.
The sooner that Americans come to grips with this fact, the sooner we'll be able to put a brake on the spread of this dangerous death cult in our country.

So far, I haven’t seen anyone here attack you, but you’ve been shooting heavy ordnance at anyone who posts the slightest disagreement to you.
Get outside of yourself for a moment, and look at how you’ve treated others on this thread. You’re doing everything you’re accusing them of doing.

I rarely ever open doggie threads, but I opened one about a week ago, and made a fairly straightforward comment that was purely my opinion, about a certain breed of canine.
Didn't take long for a rabid posse to show up and begin trying to stone me to death.
I stood my ground, and that seemed to make the posse even more agitated. Pretty soon, I was being hit from three different directions with ad hominems and juvenile snark.
I had actually been done with the thread after my first post, but some there just would not drop it, and simply allow me to have my own opinion. I started to give back, as good as I was getting, and after a few lively posts, the mod shut me down.
I was actually fine with that. The conversation had degenerated into something I really didn't even want to be a part of.
We have had the exact same experience. And with the exception that some of them “reported” two of my posts as being something they were not, one mod told one of them to stop and another told me to stop. Since then, they moved this thread to the smokey back room.
And while I did not debase myself to their level, I have not gone gently into that winter’s night. The thread is STILL going on. And I am still posting only the facts and dealing with about 5 who are still pushing the bounds of even the smokey back room’s standards.
The good news is, it peaked with more than 16 people being outright profane and sexist without innuendo. 6 of them, I believe I have salvaged a future good relationship. Another 6 I am still working on... 3 of them are lost causes. And the rest just left the thread.
Why would otherwise fair conservatives attack other conservatives with such hatred? Animal Idolatry. It is a religious thing to them.

Dogs certainly do seem to be a deeply personal issue to some people. You'd think they were related to them by blood, or something.
Personally, I don't see how anyone who's a regular at a site like this can get so engrossed in shouting matches over dog breeds, given everything that's going on in our world.
Well, good luck to you on the other thread. Frankly, I don't have the steam for such stuff.
