Madison Heights, Mich. (WXYZ) - Jennifer Tesch's six-year-old daughter has been removed from the Madison Heights Wolverine flag football cheer team.

The Madison Heights mom contacted Action News last month because she was upset about the words to one of her daughter's cheerleading chants.

The cheer she objects to says "our backs ache, our skirts are too tight, we shake our booties from left to right."

League members were outraged, saying it cast a bad light on the league and she should have handled it internally.

The team voted to keep the cheer and voted unanimously to remove the child from the team. The family will get a full refund and they can come back next year on probation if they want.

Once a star "our backs ache, our skirts are too tight, we shake our booties from left to right."

A six year old social outcast now.

What a stupid cheer. It's like they tried really hard to find a cheer that contained "booty" and ended up with a senseless, unpoetic yelp which has no redeeming qualities at all (except that it contains the word "booty").

Morons.

Maybe mom should have tried to handle it internally first before going to the press, but that cheer should have never seen the light of day in the first place.
Personally I disagree with the whole idea of six-year-olds being cheerleaders at all, but maybe that’s just me....

No, no no!!! ... Everyone has to everything I want ... me, me, me, me, me!!! I'm important!! Much more imporant than you!! And you all have to do what I want!!! (stomp feet, and threaten to hold breath).

< /sarcasm on my part; reality on the parent's part>

If you don't like what the group does, then don't join the group. Pretty simple stuff, huh?

i like teenage cheerleaders...

someone should smack momma about the head and explain to her that her daughter needs a childhood.

that is what daddy was for. today... who can say with any certainty.

this culture is so screwed.

Don’t you have to sometimes just stand up for what is right?

I know it's early, but let me get this right.....

The cheer upset some poor misguided Mom, who blows a gasket. Then the league votes votes to keep this offending cheer and fire the child who came up with it???

I gotta me missing something here.

Hopefully you did not mean to say that daddies are for smacking mommas about the head.

A six yr old cheerleader?
Hmmm.. that must be what the signs around the neighborhood are for - “flag football and cheerleading”.

No way... sorry. If I were to explain the program to my six year old, SHE’D reject it based on the values she’s already learned.

Daddy needs to step up and protect his family and his daughter from the perversity of this world.

This is a standard "canned" cheer not unique to this particular league. They had it (or something very similar) in our kids' football league and some teams used it and some didn't. Around here, the coaches are given a book of cheers provided by the league. This cheer is in it as well as about 100 others. It's then up to the coach to pick the ones they want to use or to come up with their own.

I'll bet this cheer is used in hundreds of pee-wee football leagues around the country.

Here's another good one that promotes the "I'm a dumb blonde" mantra (imagine the pride you feel as your 8 year old recites):

Like yeah, for sure, I just got a manicure
The sun, I swear, it's bleaching out my hair
Like 24, Like 34, I don't even know the score
Go-Go, Fight-Fight, Gee I hope I look all right!

Never understood why people like kids' cheerleading so much.

My little girl is 37 years old now...but I would never have allowed her to be a cheerleader when she was six.
