The Sean Bielat campaign has declared themselves within reach of unseating Barney Frank in Massachusetts’ 4th CD, one of the presumed safest districts for Democrats in the nation. The poll, conducted for the campaign by OnMessage, shows Frank falling below the 50% mark despite the D+14 composition of his constituency. Bielat comes within nine points, even though the poll shows that he still badly trails in name recognition. The memo from the pollster explains that Bielat could shock the world on November 2nd:

Few things would make me happier than seeing Barney get his comeuppance this November.

Let's make it happen, MA. Barney is a national joke, and he has to go.

Unlikely, but truly cool if he is defeated.

Perhaps there are enough Christian prayers being said and He wants to give us another chance. We can only hope that is true.

This could be interesting. If Sarah and O’Donnald both were to make a short campain trip to Sean Bielat and announce a one day money bomb for Bielat, this could put this seat into play. If it did come into play, this would really shake the Dems and could possibly hold off any further bad legislation till the elections.

Pole & Bwarney Fwank shouldn't be mentioned in the same story.

...here folks, chew on Barney Fwank while Odumbo pushes forward. Fwank will gather the headlines and be put through the gentle cycle and wind up with a great pension and step down for the good of the party...(big deal)....DON’T TAKE YOUR EYES OFF OF THE DEALS STUPID IS MAKING.....
It’s that Monica thing......a BJ in the oval office, while Chinese lugged bags of money through the back door of the WH.

Sarah Palin is likely not a big draw in Massachusetts, especially in Frank’s district. So far, she has been wise to stay out of races where her involvement would hinder rather than help. I hope she hs the sense to stay out of this one, too.

(I’m a Sara supporter, FWIW)

I semi-remember an analysis of the Brown victory (Barone perhaps?). The analysis showed that Brown carried several dem congressional districts including Franks. The analysis concluded that the GOP could surprise in Mass.

Even Mass. voters have a limit.

Barney Frank was directly responsible for the housing meltdown & Obamacare.

True enough re Sarah P. She was very low profile during Scott Brown's run last January. Brown carried Barney's district which has some very Red areas (70 - 30 for SB) south and west of Boston. There are of course some equally, if not more so liberal stongholds (Brookline, Newton, Fall River etc.) which still make Barney the favorite.
