TUSCALOOSA, Ala. Alabama Republican governor candidate Robert Bentley has turned down an offered endorsement from former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney, expected to be a candidate for the Republican nomination for president in 2012.
Romney on Thursday endorsed a list of 24 Alabama Republicans, including U.S. Sen. Richard Shelby, state treasurer Kay Ivey in her race for lieutenant governor and Birmingham lawyer Luther Strange, who is running for attorney general.
The Birmingham News reported that Bentley turned down the endorsement. A spokeswoman for Bentley, Rebekah Mason, said Friday that Bentley wanted to concentrate on the race for governor and did not want to give the impression that he was endorsing anyone in the 2012 presidential race.

I would turn it down too...
Romney is a pretty boy rino. If he steals the nomination ( using winner takes all) I will stay home again.
Unfortunately, Bentley is just as much a RINO as Romney. He basically got the nomination because the teacher’s union helped fund an attack ad against his opponent.
Romneycare. It’s as poison as obamacare.
Bwahahahaha ... Romney trying to get ahead of Sarah.
Now that’s funny.
Did Romney use an autopen?
As expected I see by looking it up Bentley was a delegate for Huckabee. Maybe he thinks President Huck would make him ambassador to Treasure Island, but President Romney Mitt wouldn’t give him anything. Unlike some here I guess Bentley doesn’t mind that Huck paroled the guy who went on to kill the Washington cop.
You’re sorta right. Funny, depending how you look at it.
Rush gave one of the best monologues today I have heard from him in a long time. At one point he mentioned the “political pros” who buy hairspray and botox by the case! Methinks Mitt would fit in there someplace.

Mitt Romney: "I'm not a partisan politician. My hope is that, after this election, it will be the moderates of both parties who will control the Senate, not the Jesse Helmses."
Mitt Romney:"These guns are not made for recreation or self-defense," "They are instruments of destruction with the sole purpose of hunting down and killing people."
Unfortunately, Bentley is a puppet of Paul Hubbert, AL Democrat Boss and AEA Emperor.

And look like Ken dolls. That, I think, nails our Max Headroom abortion advocate.
It’s official-—everybody knows Romney is NOT Reagan. He’s now just part of the endangered species known as the “RINO herd”
The Palmetto Scoop reported:
"The sources said nearly 80 percent of Romneys former staff was absorbed by McCain and these individuals were responsible for what amounts to a premeditated, last-minute sabotage of Palin."
that Palin would be a serious contender for the Republican nomination in 2012 or 2016, which made her a threat to another presidential quest by Romney.
"Peeking Out From the McCain Wreckage: Mitt Romney"
"Someone's got to say it: IS MITT ROMNEY RESPONSIBLE FOR OBAMA'S VICTORY?"
"Vanity: Team Romney Sabotaged Palin and Continuing to Do So?"
That is all that a decent person needs to know about the RINO. Alabama is in trouble in the Governors race, it's a lose/lose situation.
I'm glad that I moved away.
WoW!!
That shoulda been done a LONG time ago. Many, many hours did I spend responding to those trolls... sickening.
We have to keep an eye on this Bentley fellow. He seems pretty sharp. He knows that scumbag Romney is just trying to lay out chits for 2012 to be picked up later.
Here’s hoping this becomes a large trend.
