The consulting company I had, had a retained search division. We would find directors, CEO CFO’s, Medical Directors etc. My instructions to the staff: Any resumes with MBA from Ivy League go into the round file followed by Lawyers. Most are legacy, and don't know what the word work means, they are arrogant and destroyers of organizations. Most Lawyers couldn't run a Lemonade stand so end up in politics.

entertaining - but Jonathan Alter is too puny a figure to have killed journalism

certainly he represents a particularly grotesque instance of the breed, but so many “journalists” and editors of recent decades share his essential characteristics

Christine O’Donnell has done a great public service. The Dems and the lib-media are giving her all the heat, and meanwhile we see gop candidates build up leads in NH, WI, MO, CO, FL, NC, IL, SD, AR, and several other states, making a GOP Senate majority more possible.

Truly sublime!

Yes, I was wondering if you had a quotation. The actual words the man said, the sort of thing you put in between quotation marks - that’s what I meant. Alter said, “Not going to Yale is a cheap political trick”? Or was there more to that sentence? Did he actually say, “Christine O’Donnell not going to Yale is a cheap political trick”?

Even for Alter, that sentence makes no sense. What was the context?

Crap, I hate when I use the wrong pull quote. I meant to pull from the title, which actually has the word ‘cheap’ in it.
