Callan, Jr., Princeton University, President of the American Physical Society 6 October 2010 Dear Curt: When I first joined the American Physical Society sixty-seven years ago it was much smaller, much gentler, and as yet uncorrupted by the money flood (a threat against which Dwight Eisenhower warned a half-century ago).

For your Saturday reading pleasure. Confirms what is increasingly known: science has been corrupted by leftist ideology.

I belong to two APS member societies. As a result I get the APS monthly publication Physics Today. The hard science articles are fine but much of the rest is crap.

Wow. The pity is, that most of those who are still working are afraid to do what Professor Lewis has done. But this is a startling letter.

They might be afraid, but they have read/ heard about the letter. As has the public. The emperor has no clothes, the public is aware of this, and now the scientists themselves are being exposed by other scientists.

Very, very interesting.

"Some have held that the physicists of today are not as smart as they used to be, but I don’t think that is an issue"

Wrong! You, Hal, may be correct in most of your letter, but here you fall into the leftist claptrap yourself...

Physicists today are the product of decades of Fabian-directed education systems. These systems are established specifically to turn out non-thinking drones at all so-called educational levels in all professional and non-professional career categories.

Physicists today are not even remotely close to the abilities of those of the early-, and mid-, 20th century.

It's not their fault. It is old-timers, like myself, who allowed the public, in general, and our profession, specifically, to be educationally corrupted by the Fabian ideologues. Their control of the education system since the mid-60's has created a subservient Nation of morons.

“Emiritus”? Must be a Muslim honorific title.

He resigned over the Big Camel Back Breaking Straw that Al Gore won a Nobel Prize for -- The Climate Scam. I LOVE HIS CLOSE TO THE LETTER:
I want no part of it, so please accept my resignation. APS no longer represents me, but I hope we are still friends.

This calls for a song: "You Tell Me Your Dream, I'll Tell You Mine".

I was thinking the same thing - this man is my hero! I am saving his letter for that time I will need it as my model when my job is no longer tolerable ... it’s getting very close...

Professor Hal Lewis is not an irrelevant, senile, old fool

Connolley’s latest escapade has proved to be the straw that broke the camel’s back for the Wiki administrators. He has now been banned from writing on “Climate Change” for Wikipedia
