Mexican officials have reportedly identified two men they say are suspects in a pirate attack nine days ago on a Texas couple Jet Skiing on a border lake in which the husband was killed.
Mexican officials have not released photographs of the two men, but identified them as Pedro Saldiva Farrias, 27, and his brother, Jose Manuel Saldiva Farrias, Juan Carlos Ballesteros, an investigator with the attorney general's office of the Mexican state of Tamaulpas told ABC affiliate KRGV-TV in McAllen, Texas.
Both were said to be suspected members of the Zeta drug cartel from Nueva Ciudad Guerrero, near the abandoned town where David and Tiffany Hartley were sightseeing before they were ambushed, according to Ballesteros.

I find it odd how the Mexican authorities coughed up names so quickly. Something ain’t right.

My take: Wife’s story is bogus.
How does pandering and babysitting enter into what i said? I’d appreciate you not putting words in my mouth. Why ignore my initial thought about the inevitable expensive rebuilding that would follow any sort of military action?
I in no way wish to spend any more of our wealth,what little is left of it,in rebuilding Mexico. Build the wall and be damn serious in enforcing it.

They hope to placate the Americans, perhaps considering the cost of loss of tourism. I doubt anyone in power knows who the shooter is, they just pulled a name out of their...hat.
As others have said, we need to build the wall. As few have said, I also think it should be manned with very good snipers.
Good synopsis, Aunt B. Seems like every thread on this topic has at least a few “freepers” eagerly jumping on the “blame the wife” bandwagon. I do know that often it’s the spouse, but in this case, there’s at least one witness to the attack, and some physical evidence as well. You’d think that at some point, common sense would take over and they’d give up on their pet theory.
Mexico is a little different than the US (so far), if there is a crime that needs to be solved, they will find and convict a criminal for the crime, even if he didn't do that particular crime.
