Coons (D) - O'Donnell (R) Debate thread 7:30pm EDT CNN .
I just watched a clip of the debate last night. there is nothing more rude than sticking a finger in someone’s face and even worse with a pencil in it. It is an intimidation tactic. I the clip I saw, COD moved back, showing dicomfort.
The DS Blitzer thinks most viewers are to stupid to pick up his direct attack at COD.
A Fascist PIG as ususal.
With most “extreme” candidates (the word that libs and squishy RINOs use, not my word) like O’Donnell, Angle, etc., their positions are never the problem, it’s how they present them, and, more importantly, how their positions, and their “baggage,” is presented by the media.
Conservatives rarely lose for being too conservative. They lose for not effectively MARKETING their conservatism to those who would support them, and effectively explaining and disclosing anything that could be construed as baggage. Many candidates like COD who are relatively inexperienced politically just haven’t figured out how to do that. Palin’s another good example. Her positions aren’t that different from Reagan’s, yet Reagan was elected in a landslide, and Palin would probably have lost as big as McCain in ‘08 had she been at the top of the ticket. To Palin’s credit she has made great strides in improving the image she has (whether she’s a candidate in ‘12 or not).
Because with the RINO’s in power, they vote with the liberal dems causing voters to form the opinion, that “there is no difference between the parties”. And when it comes time to go to the mat on serious issues, you can always count on the RINO to vote with the other team, but not before they force you to waterdown your own position, further confusing the public and demoralizing conservatives.
I think, sadly we have lost this one. DE is just too far gone to be saved.
Thanks to Karl and Krauthammer and company, we will probably lose a seat to an admitted Marxist. Pretty sad.
If we had ANY Men in the RNC or RSCC that had any Cajonees they would send a staff in their to take Coons out with TV, Radio and Print ads. She is the right person for the job. But sadly too many in DEL will wote for the DUM CROOK.
Yep...
Life ain’t all bad we have smoked out the RINOs and their ilk during this election cycle. 2012 will be FAR worse! We need to start stocking our political ammo NOW for it. 2 years ago we were given up as dead. At least there will be NO “Rep Castle” anymore.
Every time I have seen COD I have become increasingly impressed with her. She held up so well in what was so obviously 3 against 1.
I am going to send her a contribution today. It won’t be huge, but if enough of us were inspired last night to do so, we could make a difference, I think.
Cristine got ambushed.
It is appalling to me that CNN hired this despicable cretin...
^^^
I’d say he represents CNN quite well; he’s corrupt and arrogant.
I’ve never fully understood why DE, a state with lots of business and financial HQ’s in Wilmington would be so leftist.
Here’s all I can come up with:
1. Geography. For whatever reason, the East Coast has overall become leftist.
2. Minorities. DE is 20% black.
3. No state income or sales tax. The lack of a state tax means the residents are isolated from taxation to a small degree, making them less sensitive to national tax issues.
the Mediascum went crazy over Rick Fazio (in 2000) walking over to offer Shillary a document..... they said he was “aggressive” and “invaded” her space etc.
I thought of Gore too when she laughed. It was her greatest weakness and I think it hurt her. Her answers, though, were very good and she showed a balance of patience and assertiveness with that obviously biased female asking her questions.
True, I just hate to see an out and out crook in elected.
Won’t be the first time.
I saw Michelle Malkin’s analysis, too. I liked how Fox and Friends chimed in and showed the clips of how the moderators were essentially badgering COD but not Coons. Hopefully, those in DE that didn’t see the debate will see these clips (though I’m not sure how many DE residents watch Fox). I wouldn’t be surprised if Hannity has this on his show tonight; and, since Greta had a couple of interviews w Christine, she might as well. I fully expect Rush to cover it on his show.
3. No state income or sales tax. The lack of a state tax means the residents are isolated from taxation to a small degree, making them less sensitive to national tax issues.
HUMMM, this may be the problem. They have no clue, what is going on. But then Tx is a no PI Tax State. But, then only if Satan intervines and White gets elected Gov., that will be the 1st thing he goes after.
It wasn’t Roberts court but the Kelo case was fairly recent (2005) and one of the most devastatingly wrong decisions about government power run amok— grabbing private land.
I’m sorry, every good citizen should know about Kelo if they care about the freedom to own (and KEEP) property. ESPECIALLY if they are anti-Marxist!
